Why useless?

Both reach over 320km/h with the gearbox, aero and turbo adjusted. The AI just doesn't seem to make use of that for its setups (ai_default doesn't help either, already posted that up in the support forums).
This could be solved if Kunos would allow us to configure the ai opponents per car per race : turbo, aero, tyres, fuel. Just the options "high, medium, low, none and full" would be sufficient to allow for competitive race behaviour.
But getting of topic now....
Looking forward to that GT1 and comparing Kunos' LMP1 vs URD's.

I am waiting for that Porsche 911 GT1 - this is a dream come true to finally race this very car on such a high level of detail and best possible physics in a simulator.

The other car that really peaks my interest in this pack is the Porsche 911 GT3 RS - the ultimate current street legal Porsche 911 - I am really curious how it behaves on the track (read Nordschleife).

I can't wait for the final pack giving us finally the GT3 / GTE class contender 911 RSR we waited for so long time.

This really is the best year for simulator racing thus far, now if we only had dynamic lighting, day and night transitioning and live weather in Assetto Corsa, the world would be perfect.

Which GT3 will be the one that actually races GT3 class? I can't get my head around those naming conventions.

That would be the 911 RSR which can be configured to meet the diverse similar GT classes as the ACO's GTE or the several national run GT3 classes.

The 911 GT3 is basically to today's Porsche 911 RSR racing model what in 1973 the Porsche 911 RS 2.7 was to the then 911 RSR 2.8 and later 3.0 racing models - it is a naturally aspirated engined street legal rocket ship full of all current technology to be as fast on the road as a 911 can be while not being turbo charged.
Who knows it may very well be the last of it's kind as all manufacturers left and right are transitioning to turbo charging as a means of reducing emissions and lowering fuel consumption in their fleet.

Reducing emissions...like VW?

The 911 RSR races in GTE classes, the 911 GT3 R in GT3 classes. Two different cars, different technical basis, with the new RSR now more so than ever. The 911 GT3 RS road car (and previously the 911 GT3) is the homologation basis for those race cars.

Dynamic lighting there is, since you can see the hours pass from 8am to 6pm. But there isn't 24h cycle and live weather, as you said.
I was referring to the current unfortunate lack of individual light sources mandatory to making realistic night racing possible (illuminating light sources of cars as headlights, brake lights, backfire, stationary light sources around track, sun, moon, …).

To me Assetto Corsa is without a doubt the simulator that feels most connected, realistic, the one I can achieve FFB settings that come quite close to road cars I drive.
Assetto Corsa also does look in my opinion the most realistic and modern compared to the current generation simulators.

The very only thing it really lacks is the lack of day/night cycles and dynamic weather.

Even without dynamic weather and true day-night cycles the addition of individual light sources would immensely improve immersion - I am looking forward to "Assetto Corsa II" - and do hope Kunos will not call it that but use a more creative successor name ;-)
