It's about getting the core tracks right.

I think it's an absolute must that certain countries, due to the history of F1, host a yearly GP.
These would be the core locations with others to be added.

Spain
Germany
France
Japan (Suzuka)
Belgium (Spa)
USA (only one GP a year)
San Marino (Imola)
Monaco (not a great track but too much history to lose)
Australia
Brazil (Interlagos)
Canada (Montreal)

Other possibilities for regular inclusion

Netherlands (Zandvoort)
Mexico
Hungary (Hungaroring)
Argentina (Buenos Aires)

I would love to see Brands Hatch and Donington either rotating with Silverstone for British GP or with others at a European GP.

I would also love to see F1 taking on Laguna Seca, Le Mans and Bathurst.

Any additional GPs could be given to the best circuits/major countries such as China/rotated for variety.

Interesting to see Baku on many fans' lists already - I remember the track flopped on RD after the first race (mostly for political bias I supposed).
Thought it was good from day one, and it's now pretty much essential viewing every year.

While not a Grade 1 track anyway, I noticed that Mosport (Canadian Tire Motorsport Park) is nowhere on the list so for the record, if anyone else is using this as any sort of reference, it is a Grade 2 track (researched this to back up my understanding). You're welcome Ron Fellows and co.

well realistically i'd have Mondello and Brands in mine but the tracks just aren't F1-able due to their size

Races are done on historic F1 venues or the likelihood of Liberty Media bringing F1 to venues. Races in order of location to previous round for logistic reasons (I could never understand why F1 went to Canada in May then to America in October). Picks also do not take into account the nature of the cars racing on them, cars are idealized to provide interesting races on all circuits. Also noted that racing around Monaco in this day is much like a procession, although I feel it near impossible to leave it off a calendar due to its history and glamour.

1st. GP of Brazil - Interlagos - Classic race track that always produces good racing with many overtaking opportunities. Intense heat in March/April could see car failures and a mixed up finishing order.
2.) GP of Mexico - Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez - fast straights and the stadium section leads to interesting racing.
3.) GP of the USA - COTA - a Modern track which a mixture of slow hairpins, fast sweeping corners and a long straight provide a challenge for teams in set-up, mixed grids and finishing orders are regular and overtaking is common.
4.) GP of Canada - Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - Like Interlagos, classic F1 venue, track nature and changing weather lead to very dramatic qualifying and races.
5.) GP of Spain - Circuit de Catalunya - Strong fan base in Spain, well-rounded track and F1 test track, unlikely to fall over the calendar.
6.) GP of Monaco - Circuit de Monte-Carlo - Iconic track, legendary status within F1, no more needs to be said.
7.) GP of France - Circuit du Paul Ricard - Long straights see race long slipstream battles when high engine strain and temperatures would see races akin to the old layout of Hockenheim.
8.) GP of Europe - Jerez/Estoril/Nurburgring/Brands Hatch/Magny Cours/Mondello Park/Baku/Sochi - Alternating every year between circuits previously or new to the F1 calendar.
9.) GP of Britain - Silverstone - Classic F1 circuit in the valley of motorsport. Hard to leave out of any calendar.
10.) GP of Belgium - Spa-Francorchamps - Like Monaco and Silverstone, one of F1's most legendary tracks. A fan's and driver's favourite. Notorious for changing weather patterns leading to chaotic races.
11.) GP of Germany - Hockenheimring - Although now a shadow of it's former self, Hockenheimring perhaps offers the most interesting races with the long curving straight into the hairpin.
12.) GP of Austria - A1/Red Bull Ring - A mixture of quick sweeping corners with two long straights and a slow almost hairpin lead to high overtakes and slipstream battles.
13.) GP of Hungary - Hungaroring - A much more interesting, race-wise, version of Monaco. Overtaking possible but difficult. The first corner offers the best overtaking chance, but also sees many races ended.
14.) GP of San Marino - Imola - Classic track that is desperately needed back on the calendar. The circuit has a unique character and place in F1 history. Fantastic racing is almost guaranteed.
15.) GP of Italy - Monza - If you watch F1 (why are you reading this if you don't) you know why Monza is here.
16.) GP of Bharian - Sahkir - One of the better Tilke tracks, the added interest of a night race sees its inclusion.
17.) GP of Abu Dhabi - Yas Marina - Although a boring track, overtaking is plentiful. The race included for the commercial interests and day-to-night cycle.
18.) GP of China - Shanghai International Circuit - an interesting circuit with overtaking opportunities and changing weather.
19.) GP of Japan - Suzuka - Fantastic track with a mixture of everything that makes F1 great. A certain to make any calendar
20.) GP of Austraila - Albert Park/Adelaide - Alternating yearly, street race to end the season on two interesting and well-loved tracks

3. Zandvoort * : Great layout, with great variation but maybe it doensn't suit to actual F1
4. Brands Hatch : Because the new Silverstone is boring, it is a legend but... no.
5. Kuala Lumpur : Always loved this track, don't know why !
6. Adelaide : Great races in the past
7. Montreal : Great actual track
8. RedBull Ring : just for the landscape.
9. Monza : Legend
10. Interlagos : Legend
11. Jerez : Because Catalunya is so bad and Spain need a race
12. Nurburgring : Great layout
13. Magny cours : Le Castellet is terrible, Le Mans doesn't suit F1 so...
14. Algarve Portimao : Always think it would be great with F1
15 . Baku : I don't like the track at all, but always thrilling races
16. COTA Texas : layout is great but needs grass and gravel.
17. Brno : For fun
18. Bahrain : Not so bad + GP on the night is cool.
