It's a problem that exists for rFactor too, and I'm not sure what can be suggested.


Perhaps try setting everything other than the card in the Config app, and then editing config.ini in the GSC root directory and set VideoDriver=1

See if that works with a combination of the various other tricks you tried when launching the game.

Game Stock Car Has stopped working

I have not used it for a month and now when I go to start the program it goes to the video set up, I hit OK and I get this Microsoft Windows error message that says game stock car has stopped working and a problem has stopped it from working correctly and to close the program.
Any idea what I need to do?

Try running the config again, or if that doesn't work deleting your player profile folder in the UserData folder.

I love the game but I've been having some major problems with it. I have the 1.7 update and all of the DLC but when I start a race I get a message saying "warning stay in formation lap" whenever I pass a car. Formations laps are off though and even when after 3-4 laps it still says this. There's never a green flag. The AI cars are not going at formation lap speeds either. The other problem is sometimes the race wont start at all. It will just go to a trackside camera and sit there and I'm not able to do anything. The last issue im having it that sometimes the FFB goes crazy and will pull the wheel very strongly left or right. Resetting the FFB does not fix it and I have to exit and restart in order to reset it. I'm using a DFGT with the recommended FFB settings that I found on here. I've tried deleting my player profile but it did not help. I'm wary about reinstalling since I only have 2 activation's.

I really hope I can resolve these issues because the game is amazing and has some of the best FFB and racing ever!

I cannot find the option for PUsh to pass, in the controller 1 menu, there is temporary boost, traction control, etc. but not push to pass. Please help. thanks.

I'm having that same problem with the race not starting , at least at Brasilia. I've only tried 4 tracks so far and I don't have that problem at the other 3.
I also am having the same FFB problems with my DFGT ; doesn't seem to matter if I use the Logitech drivers or not , it sometimes goes bonkers and pulls me off of the track.
I also have to agree with you about the high quality of the game and the FFB!

This happens when the AI crash or you cause a crash with the AI, it was giving me huge headaches though and I spent a long time trying to improve the behaviour, but ultimately I think the code for formation laps isn't very good. My suggestion is to skip the formation lap by pressing the space bar.

Yeah, I'm have G25 with updated drivers, but anyway happens this problem

for example: I leave the pits for couple of laps and when back to the pits for some adjusts and leave again the FFB moves strong to left and right.

PS: in the Championship mode.

Thanks for your reply; I changed the settings from a rolling start to a standing/formation start. I skipped the formation lap and it works fine. Thanks!

FFB issues happen sometimes. I and other persons have this. After changing from qualifs to race, the ffb is broken.

There is a key to reset the ffb (in the controls "ffb reset") but I don't know if it works correctly

FFB problems for me too, after I got a game crash with a blue screen, I don't have FFB in the V8's cars, even if I press the reset
button. I was using the V8's car when it happen, I try the FReiza car and the FFB is ok.

I already re-install it in another path and now everything is fine again, but for sure some file in the V8 car was broken because of windows crash.

tested yesterday after the ffb lost. The key works. Think about it if you loose the ffb.
