Hello everyone,
finally we can give you the official public beta version of the FSR 2011 Mod.
The mod includes 4 different cars taken from the FSOne 2009 mod. Many thanks to CoDeX and KIKONI for giving us the permission to use these cars.
The 4 available cars are:
- Ferrari F60
- Red Bull RB5
- Brawn GP
- Williams FW31
For the RB5 we included two versions in the mod, one with a small nose and one with the well known wide nose (can be selected in the car upgrades).
The physics of this mod are based on the FSR Mods used in the previous years but mainly based on the FSR 2010 Mod. However the Mod Testing Team put in a lot of work and effort to make sure we don´t end up with a similar handling to last year.
The result is a very well balanced and very well drivable physics package. It was important to us to make sure there wont be the same handling problems in this mod as we had in 2010. Of course we will never be able to build a mod that suits everyones driving style, but we had very different types of drivers in the Mod Test Team, and in the end we found a compromise that should suit all driving styles to a certain extent.
The mod is officially still in beta status but overall we are confident the physics will prove to be ready for the final mod, so you should´t expect big changes there.
Now I´m only left to thank everyone from the Mod Test Team for their work done in the last one and a half months, Joakim Bengtsson, Jaakko Mikkonen, Mikko Puumalainen, John-Eric Saxen, Mattias Stahre, Henri Viirok, David Dominguez, Bono Huis, Stephane Rouault and Patrick de Wit.
