With E3 now in full swing over in LA, the team behind Assetto Corsa Competizione have revealed first gameplay from this exciting upcoming sim racing title...

We've had a couple of videos already from the title in action as driven by guests at the E3 event in LA, but today Kunos Simulazioni have released what we've all been waiting for, in game capture footage of ACC direct from the work in progress version of the title... driven by someone who knows what they are doing too!

Using Unreal 4 as the core game engine, it is immediately noticeable even at this early stage of development how much of an improvement the graphics are in the upcoming game over the current Assetto Corsa title, a simulation which frankly still does a very solid job of holding its own in the graphics department despite its relative grand old age in the sim racing arena.

Now that Steam Early Access deployment is getting closer (remember we are expecting a "summer" release at the moment), Kunos have taken to the E3 2018 event with a playable version of Assetto Corsa Competizione, running the software on the Thrustmaster stand for visitors to have a go around the Monza circuit as the title makes its public debut over in Los Angeles..

On a side note, if you want to kill some time until more info on ACC is released, why not check out the ACC Wish List thread and leave a comment, or watch our exclusive interview with Stefano and Marco on their hopes and plans for the new title HERE and HERE

Assetto Corsa Competizione should be available on Steam Early Access Summer 2018.

It does look good, but really hope they get rid of that blue tint that's going on just about everywhere..Audio seems to have improved as well..:)
What blue tint. Imo color palette looked perfectly real and natural, unlike AC.

Agree about the audio though, even transmission wobble is there and comes from physics not fake effect (source: Luca from forums)

Most modern games have DLC...I think ACC is a core and other disciplines will be added as DLC. Or the game would be called Assetto Corsa Blancpain. Just think Endurance, La mans IMSA Jap GT ooohhh the mind boggles.

The more I rewatch the couple of video's the more I get excited. Midlife?!

Just to name a few:
Movement of fingers/hands - How does that work out in VR. Fixed buttons or adjustable?
Watch how realistic the other cars look when you are in cockpit view (e.g. the Porsche).
Possibility to change dashview (like others simgames already have).
Adjustable visible movement of weight transfer.
Alpha stage and it already looks and sounds very good.
Is EarlyAccess in 'summer' time realistic? Thats within two-three months!

So far I'm happy with the content they shared with us but hope more to come :)

this is not direct recorded audio there is too many issues for me to believe its true far from it.
then compare this.
this engine has audio and visual issues, youll be lucky if its released at xmas looking here,
watching other resources online and closely checking the videos,
there is massive issues with shadows and reflections, yes something to look at and improve upon,
but so far, I am far from impressed.
wow no way near :D
What's the name of the game from the second video? - I'm very impressed. The one above them didn't really come on to me ...

Graphics look good, improved shadows, cockpits and people at the tracks (track textures look the same however, not a terrible thing), night and rain are awesome visually as expected.

Rain physics still seems like a globally lower grip however, everyone driving over curbs and astroturf without much problem.

Dry AI seems decent.

Looks promising but to me it's quite underwhelming that the content is only limited to Blancpain series...

I already can see many crowded servers waiting for us due to the limitation in content.

There's sooooo many great content in AC but chances are very small you can jump into the lobby and find a server with "something different" content and a few drivers on it.

Besides I won't jump into any judgments and discussins about the game just from watching the first gameplay vids. I'll sit and wait and carefully watch the opinions once it's released. What I know so far: "I love Assetto Corsa!!!"

I really do like AC, but there's no intend for me to be hyped for ACC. In AC, you always drive an GT3, everywhere. I got enough of that. The real strength of AC aren't the GT3, in my honest opinion!

AC has more then enough GT3s available. But they have got all the other stuff, especially the historic cars. The freedom of tracks, even to create the perfect track for yourself by yourself. Even in a car, what you would like to create. And this all with proper physics, in search for it's competitor.

It was this kind of freedom and with this coming, the diversity, I liked most of AC.

What happened? With ACC, they take all that away. The diversity.

You don't need weather and/or day & night transitions, to create a unique race.

That´s one of the first things I noticed. Still sounds a bit flat especially during gearshifts, but I hope that´s just a pre-alpa thing. Can´t wait for the Porsche GT3 with a proper wobbly gear whine on upshifts :inlove:

Sound overall has massively improved, the engine samples have a very nice quality feel and a lot of depth. I can't stand this bodyroll sample anymore though

While you could be totally right, this thread is about AC Competizione that, take it or leave it, is a Blancpain GT3 game

All GT3s run over that piece of Ascari without any problem. Even in AC you can comfortably do that.
Real GT3s runs with 2 tires over the curb, not with 4 tires over the full sleeping policemen (orange & black things). A sleeping policemen (sausage curbs, whatever) is made to destabilize the car, and so discourage a cut.

For me one of the worst things in AC is the samples of some sounds.
There is this one when the car goes through a bump (body roll) that sounds like the car have a bag of empty cans and I never heard it before, in cars that I drove or watching onboards on youtube.
Obviously is not the final product but for me doesn't look too much difrent from AC in terms of sound.
Apart from that, the visuals are beautiful and I can't wait to get seat time on this thing!
