Check Out the New F1 2019 Style Front Wings!

No idea what this will do... But, it seems everytime F1 comes up with something new to "improve the show", it has the opposite effect... Sometimes, I wonder if these guys know what the heck they're doing...

Why do sanctioning bodies think more aero is the answer? It never is!!!

Because the drivers need it, aero is basically a driving aid, watch as soon as a car loses one or even loses a small piece like Bottas in Hungry...... its rather sad really...
How can F1 drivers take sweeping bends at 140 plus without lifting?
Clue it's not their 'talent'...

So basically 2009 for front wing.

At least we don't get a high rear wing like in 2009, for 2019. One of the ugliest rear wings in F1 history and it continued all the way until the end of 2016.

Yeah, too wide and likely to see more contact that causes DNF's. Hopefully, they do allow more passing though.
Too wide? It's hardly much wider than the current front wings

And just when you thought the halo was the worst idea...., who's making these decisions ?, just put a clear windshield on like in the 70's, aero under the car, not on top, then go from there, If Indycar can figure it out F1 can.

Don't see much of a difference i don't realy look hard at wings. I usually look at the chassis as a whole and the coulours and sponsors. Not minor refined things. But it has to work. So the real test is in the real world not on some computer. :ninja:

This isnt more aero, its less.

Not sure making the front wing wider is the correct way to go. IMO the endplate should align with the inner sidewall of the front tires.
There needs to be less dependence on wing-generated downforce, not more. If there is less reliance on the aerodynamic performance on the front end, there will be fewer issues when following another car.
