Assetto Corsa Ferrari F138 'Red Pack' preview

Kunos Simulazioni have today revealed the latest addition of the upcoming 'Red Pack' DLC, due to hit the digital shelves on Thursday 14th July. The legendary Ferrari F138 Grand Prix car that contested the 2013 Formula One World Championship season will make its virtual debut in the sim, representing the last of the V8 era Grand Prix machines before the introduction of hybrid turbo power units made its debut at the start of the 2014 season.

The F138 is the fifth new piece of content revealed by the studio and continues the Grand Prix theme started by the introduction of the legendary Maserati 250F driven by Juan Manuel Fangio right the way through to modern thoroughbred machinery in the shape of the recent 2015 Ferrari Formula One challenger.

With only five days to go and two final pieces of content to be revealed, the F138 will make a pleasing new addition to the sim and should fit right in with the 'Red Pack' theme in what is fast becoming one of the most exciting pieces of DLC content since Assetto Corsa launched all the way back in 2014.

just give me an Ecoboost 1.0L mode and that car will still beast every other gt2/gtlm car in the field.

Epic, never liked the 458 GT2, imo looked ugly in GTE trim. This new 488 GT3 loses the sound but gainz in the looks department like woah. BMW M6 GT3 will be my weapon of choice when it comes out

Not sure what you're on about. There are no current regulations for rear wings as far I know and therefore there is no problem in them sharing the same rear wing. Look at the 458, whether it's GTE or GT3, they do not have class specific wings.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

Just to clarify, first image is Blancpain GT3, second image is WEC GTE PRO.

Although I did see GTE cars with the first wing config too.

There was an easier comparison with the 458 GTE and 458 GT3, as the wing support pillars/structure was completely different and imo different heights as well. This time with the 488 GTE/GT3 the rear wing is exactly the same albeit for some minor differences (ie. height, elements, end plates.) The one main difference that I see is the front splitter has some uber cool slits in it in the GTE that are absent in the GT3.

Either way, mega cool race car, and waaaaaay prettier than the gastly 458 GTE, imo of course... the only opinion :{

When I last looked at GT3 regs (actually a couple years ago as far as what was being homologated) they define the top rearmost point the wing can be, and only allow a main element flat across the width of the car. It's one of the ways GT3s are meant to cost less than GTE since GTE's essentially factory efforts, while GT3 is aimed at smaller teams. Maybe Ferrari convinced the FIA the wing is still affordable.

This pack and update has brought some new life to the game. F138 is very good (and the new one too) - big improvement over the previous open wheel race cars.
proper starts now works well, not before time.
"Max Verstappen" from the netherlands is driving this on RSR; must be good.

Sorry for the extremely novice question. I'm very new to AC and have just downloaded this pack. When on board the F1 cars on the T-camera, is there a way to have the view accurately offset slightly like on tv? I only seem to have a dead centre view?
