ACC is a hot looking new title, and following the rave reviews lavished on Assetto Corsa one that is surely going to be popular with sim racing fans the world over. Benefitting from an official licence to replicate the Blancpain Endurance Series, arguably the strongest current GT3 racing series anywhere in the world, Assetto Corsa Competizione already has many of the ingredients needed to be a hit in sim racing circles.

With a tentative 'Early Access' release date of summer 2018 floated by developers Kunos Simulazioni, fans are understandably eager to learn more about what ACC has to offer when it comes to PC later this year. Luckily Kunos are aware of the interest in the new title, and as such following its public debut at the recent Blancpain Misano round, we now have not one but four new in game videos to enjoy! Feast your eyes on these beauties below:

Ferrari 488 GT3 - Misano - Dry
Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - Misano - Slicks on Damp Track
Mercedes AMG GT3 - Misano - Wet AI Race

Assetto Corsa Competizione should be available on Steam Early Access Summer 2018.

I don't need to see any more videos and screenshots.

I want in.

When it was announced that Kunos would start developing a new sim, I was ready to pre-order. I have full faith in their talent and delivery performance.
Now with every new video and screenshot it just gets more and more refined but I am sold already - how about an EARLY Early Access Kunos ;-)

Yeah I agree, take my money now @kunos :inlove::inlove::inlove: I have been drooling over this since the initial announcement and has even made me start watching the endurance races, although I can't quite get the same enthusiasm for the sprint ones such as at Misano for some reason

One thing I noticed in the wet race video ... is an animated yellow flag by a marshall at the left of the track.
Good thing for more realism if all flags might be that way ( with also the blue ones of course as I regularly need them :D ).

Very promising videos !

Okay graphically we get it, it's pretty, but the rest?
I'm afraid that kunos want to reach a large public (console$$) and that it end up like pcars2...

successful :roflmao:

I think...like everything else I have ever owned from Kunos, this will be very good.
Netkar namie...good.
Netkar Pro...good.
Assetto Corsa...good.
Why should or would this be any different?
As to those suggesting you'll need 'super computing' to run it properly...that logic is flawed.
A better optimized engine requires less resources and effort to run...not more.
Hell!...I'm still running every single sim I own...at high to ultra settings...with 'glass-like' smoothness...in VR...on an X79 chipset from 2011.

Definitely! That's what Kunos stands for!
Bet Apple is planning on a 200€ iPhone with a custom Android to flood the market and get more money.

Does unreal engine support consoles? I think so. Do consoles have less power? Absolutely.
Does unreal engine support graphics scaling well? Yep.

Will Kunos go with a UI that works with wheel buttons? I think so too.

Will a console release be as difficult as it was with AC? Probably not.
Will the physics & features need to be lower quality for consoles? No.
Do consoles have nice quality wheel support? Yes.

Is there a reason why acc shouldn't be released on consoles? Not really.
Is there any reason why acc should be worse on PC if that happens? Not really.

Does it open the possibility of cross platform awesome multiplayer lobbies? Oh yeah!

A few questions plus their answers if you can't be bothered to think through them yourself :)

RasmusP, are they your wannabe answers or Kunos ones?

That's what my, I think quite intelligent, brain comes up with as a conclusion after watching the interviews with Stefano and Marco, reading what they post and judging by everything else I know about AC and ACC.

Actually I don't think I've read about a console release anywhere but from my perspective it would be a good thing this time rather than a bad one as it means more money and more features for all of us. There are people wanting a real sim for their console too. Not PC only.
