Max won the race. Its been nearly 3 hours... You can't take that away from those supporters. If they do there should be consequences.

There is no scenario where two cars are side by side and one should simply concede the position. If under any circumstance a car that is racing for position is expected to simply move over THAT is not racing. Dont say Charles was in an undefendable position, it was the exact same the previous lap and #16 made it stick and CLEARED max. Max knew it would be the same so he just shoves him off, dosen't even look in his mirror. If senna was leclerc he'd have been fuming.

Edit: actually no, senna would have just held his line, wrecked both cars then say "he should have left a space."

Except LeClerc DID move over giving Max the opportunity to overtake him and take the racing line .

Verstappen completely missed the apex, went too wide, made contact and pushed Leclerc off track. Although I grant him the victory for driving a fabulous race, his action is punishable according the regulations. Actually Leclerc should've defended on the inside; he left the door wide open.

Vettel's penalty in Canada too was stupid and still it was awarded because that's what's written in the rulebook.
Today, if it turns out to be a penalty, it won't be any different. A stupid penalty, but one that is against of what's written in the rulebook and as such, "rioting" now will be as pointless as it was in Canada.

Last year Vettel impeded Sainz in Q1 and despite Sainz already qualified (thus he didn't really need the lap he ruined), he still got penalized for it.
Yesterday, Hamilton impeded Raikkonen in Q1, same track, different corner, and the too was penalized because that's what's written in the rulebook.

Instead of crying (pro-Leclerc or pro-Verstappen, it's all the same), the "negativity" should be aimed at the rulebook, not at the stewards for applying what's written in it. If they change the rules, these stupid penalties will go away. But if they don't change the rules, this endless moaning on social media and otherwise will always and forever be meaningless as it's not really their fault for applying the rules.

"Fans" often accused them of being inconsistent for well over a decade at the very least. For once that they finally actually act consistently across different races with different stewards, people still find a reason to verbally harass and threaten them.

It was a good race, Verstappen won on merit but made a dumb overtake taking a risk he didn't need to. With the pace he had, he could've passed Leclerc in the pitlane and still win the race by a margin. But with 2 or 3 laps to go, especially at that age, he's still too immature to think straight and stay focused on more than just the short-term benefit of things. He had all the time in the world, but he wanted to do it as soon as possible. That's the mistake he will probably pay for if they penalize him.

But if they don't give him a penalty (that should be there according to the rulebook), it will set a really really really bad precedent, considering how controversial things got in Canada as recently as 4 weeks ago.

And the next race we will be looking for more penalties. See who gets penalised next. Will the drivers avoid penalties the next time ? Penalty for the win. This race was full great penalties. The season of penalties, the sport of penalties. And the time we had so many overt... pnalisations, racing is great. Such a great move by the driver [x] forcing the driver [y] into the penalty, such a great move. The penalties action is great.

Hamilton drove off the track to get out of Raikonen's way ! How on earth can that be deemed a penalty ? SO you're damned if you go for it and youre damned if you get out of the way . What is this sport becoming ? They either need to change the rules , change the stewards or both because it's just becoming a farce .

He borked raikonen's hotlap and it was helpful to prepare max podium.
