New RaceRoom AMG GT4 Vs Real Life AMG GT4 | Boonatix comparison

Boonatix is at it again with another RaceRoom comparison, this time Vs the car's real life counterpart. Take a ride onboard both the virtual and real life machines for a lap around Hockenheim and judge for yourself.

Our good friend Stefan Boonatix is not shy of comparing cars in the land of sim racing. He recently compared the Audi GT4 in both RaceRoom and ACC and looked at the similarities and differences between the two cars. This time round Stefan has managed to get his hands on some footage of the real life car he is comparing against.

The car in question is the brand new AMG GT4 in RaceRoom. If you read @Mike Smith 's article about this car yesterday you will see that this is an awesome piece of content with Mike calling it one of RaceRoom's best ever cars. Being able to see how well Sector3 did with their recreation of this german beast Vs the real life car is certainly an interesting watch.

Some of the things you would expect from a RaceRoom release is great sound and physics and by the looks of Stefan's video it they did a good job on both those fronts. I've said it before and I will say it again, RaceRoom is a massively underrated simulation and if you haven't tried it already, go and do it now...well, after you have watched the video.

What do you make of the job Sector3 have done with this car? Let us know in the comments below.

The funniest thing in that comparison rre vs real is that real image is less shiny, I mean lighting looks dull : if the game had the same image ton as real then many simmers would say "graphics are awful".
Sometimes virtual graphics are better than reality...like most people (retouched) pictures on social medias vs real :D

Yeah, people wow over game graphics but they are still nowhere near real life . Real life is quite dull sometimes and certainly isn't full of bloom, lens flare and the like.

Very nice video, thank you for putting it together. How refreshing to see a comparison to real life instead of the usual sim a vs sim b idiotic comparison.

@theguy69 this car is free to try in R3E and I hope you have the car in ACC, or else why even ask the question. Why do you need anybody else opinion when you can make up your own mind with your own set up on which car you prefer?

How do the gt4 stack up against ACC?
From my point of view (experience and lot of discussion on ACC forums)
it depends on the wheel you use.

With a common wheel like fe. mine thrustmaster t300 the GT4s in ACC are just boring, and i can even feel less details compared to the R3Es GT4.

But with a DD wheel or the stronger fanatec wheels fe. ACC begins to shine bright and the situation turns in opposite.

So for me personaly R3E GT4 are more fun to drive.

Ohh its free! I didn't know that! I shall try it out thanks

Very nice comparison. RaceRoom still has the best sounding car engines of all
Sims. And the graphics look pretty realistic too without having all the latest 3D
innovations. The 2D trees look good because they are well done and very well
placed. But what more immersion gives in this title is indeed the engine
sounds. Great work.
