New ACC Content Coming March 23rd

A tweet from the official Assetto Corsa account has confirmed that new "challengers" are coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione later this month.

Silhouettes, sounds and shadows are all Kunos Simulazioni has revealed so far about new content coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione on March 23rd. A tweet that included a video and the statement "new challengers are joining us" has been shared.

While the names of the cars that will be included in this release haven't been officially listed, Twitter detectives suspect that the Ferrari 488 Challenge, Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, BMW M2 CS Racing, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO, and perhaps an Audi R8 EVO 2 could be part of it.

This is all of the detail we have on the release, so no word has yet been given on pricing or when it will be available to console users.

RaceDepartment will of course cover more on this new content as Kunos shares more about it, but for now we want to hear from you about which new content you'd be most excited to drive, and if the guesses concerning the cars are right or wrong.

With any luck they'll figure out a licensing thing for the Nords Endurance Series for AC2. Or at least I hope they find a way to make the car selection make more sense instead of being completely random like AC1. In any case, this is an SRO sim so there's no point in asking for things that SRO series don't race.

Having said that, I'd love a GT America track pack with VIR/Road America/Sonoma/Glen/Mosport. I have no idea what year they'd do anymore though.

I really want to see an official, laser scanned version of Mosport, so part of me is hoping for the 2020 season of SRO America but it would also be amazing if we got a laser scanned version of Sebring, so the other part of me is hoping they bring the 2022 season.

I'm confused with Cup, is the 911 GT3 Cup a GT3 car like the Amg GT GT3 or is Cup in ACC another series?

It is a Cup car, that means one-make races (everybody racing the same car).

ACC already has the Porsche Cup car (the old one) and it is usually raced in one-make races.

Now, SRO has the European GT2 series where gentlemen drivers compete driving Porsches, Audis etc. but if I am not mistaken those cars or at least some of them are different from the Cup one-make racing cars. Certainly Kunos might have decided to cover the GT2 series too, we'll see.

At this point I really only care about new tracks or cars that make existing tracks feel way different (LMP or GT2 or something). So not this and especially not a Porsche with an ugly line for a rear light. Maybe the BMW. Guess have to wait until end of summer for the track pack.

What is the expected life of ACC...?

How long into the future will we keep getting tracks and cars? Any word from Kunos on this?

Or will support and content for ACC stop once AC2 is released in 2024 or maybe they run concurrently parallel to each other...?

My guess is that 2022 will be the last year ACC gets tracks and cars updates. After that Kunos' focus will completely shift to Assetto Corsa 2. It would be then 3,5 years of support. I think thats good enough.

"most incomplete GT racing Sim ever."

Because no Nords?

Go to see Blancpain/GT world challenge site, and do some recearch. And then explain your argument. This Nordschleife whining is just pathetic and annoying as hell!
Talk for yourself pls!
Not every one thing the same!
And if you don't like NLS then just fff sxxt up!
What pathetic is acc fanboys since starting of this game since that bad FFB thats was really pathetic.

What we KEEP trying to explain to you is this....ACC's title is this: ACC the Official GT WORLD CHALLENGE game. GT World Challenge is run by the SRO, Kunos entered into a financial agreement with the SRO that limits the scope of ACC to ONLY OFFICIAL SRO content. At this time, SRO has no ties to the NLS or ADAC, therefore, Kunos cannot in the scope of their contracts with SRO, introduce content that is NOT affiliated with SRO. You should be leveling your ire at Stefan Ratel rather than Kunos. You should also be understanding that F1 2022 will not have Nords. (it is outside the contracts of F1) You should also know that DIRT will not have Nords. You should also know that Nascar Ignition will not have Nords. You should also know that ANY sim which is legally tied to a series will only feature products within that series.
It is not that we don't like NLS, it is that ACC is NOT THE VEHICLE to achieve racing at the Ring. There are several products already out there that do allow driving the Ring, if this is your end all be all request, stop looking at ACC and venture elsewhere.
Since you seem to think ACC is pathetic, & Nords is not contractually viable, why are you here?

Heh, it wasn't even that. It was the official Blancpain GT Series game, which is just GT World Challenge Europe. All the other SRO series Kunos gave us were a bonus.

Also, good to see you're still around Dave.
