New ACC Content Coming March 23rd

ACC Challenge DLC 01.jpg
A tweet from the official Assetto Corsa account has confirmed that new "challengers" are coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione later this month.

Silhouettes, sounds and shadows are all Kunos Simulazioni has revealed so far about new content coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione on March 23rd. A tweet that included a video and the statement "new challengers are joining us" has been shared.

While the names of the cars that will be included in this release haven't been officially listed, Twitter detectives suspect that the Ferrari 488 Challenge, Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, BMW M2 CS Racing, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO, and perhaps an Audi R8 EVO 2 could be part of it.

This is all of the detail we have on the release, so no word has yet been given on pricing or when it will be available to console users.

RaceDepartment will of course cover more on this new content as Kunos shares more about it, but for now we want to hear from you about which new content you'd be most excited to drive, and if the guesses concerning the cars are right or wrong.

It is quite the buzz in real life. Don't see what's what wrong with people who view it as the best track wanting to see it in what the probably think is the best sim. If it was DLC then you could say 'if you don't like it don't buy it' to the stop crying about it people.
It just gets a bit boring really.Kunos stated Nord will definitely not be in ACC.The reason ACC is so realistic is that it concentrates all its resources on doing a smaller amount of series & tracks very well.As soon as you start adding other tracks & cars outside that realm it becomes like every other sim.
I like the Nordschleife but it is available in every other sim & if people have patience it will appear in the new Assetto Corsa.

What is really missing in ACC to bring me back to it, is the NLS layout for the Nürburgring-Nordschleife. Without it it's just the most incomplete GT racing Sim ever.
Shut up. Nordschleife is a well over rated track. Go play something else if you don't like it. Heck could go waste your money on iracing and enjoy it's mid 2000s graphics

what is wrong, to wish to race the Nordschleife with ACC Simulator and ACC cars.
Sure, it can be driven in most any other sim.
But not with ACC physics, ACC FFB and ACC graphics.
So leading to go out and play it on an other sim is pointless.
But i'm sure AC2 will fix that :)

How would it affect you if they did bring it out as DLC? All you'd have to do is not buy it.

I don't get this line of thought that ACC is the best but please no more tracks.

Im not bothered i just wouldnt buy it. It was the other guy i was replying to claiming ACC is the most incomplete gt3 sim beacause it doesnt have nordschleife.

You still have great tracks like Bathurst, Suzuka or Kyalami, Nords is from ADAC not SRO licence, as simply as it gets

So what happens if Nords is added to the real life series? It IS possible it happens. Who would have thought DTM would use GT3 cars? Things change. Anything is possible.

Small upgrade of current cars... this game is too repetitive, too little selection of cars and tracks.
Guess who thought that a game about GT3 and GT4 racing that is officially licensed only has the tracks and cars that GT series race with/in?

No, it was already said in comments above (Porsche, BMW, Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari). Most of the cars from upcoming car pack were teased by Kunos Simulazioni before. There's not much left to guess, maybe one or two cars more... maybe none.

No stand alone series in SRO, but these cars are racing in some SRO races. 911 GT3 Cup cars are racing on special ocasions, like 24h Spa and the 488 Challenge Evo was guest entry in GT2 European Series.

There will be a new "GT Cup" sub divison for the new Lamborghini Super Trofeo, the Ferrari 488 Challenge and the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in the (real world) Fanatec GT2 European Series this year, starting next month.

That will be the first outing for the 992 GT3 Cup under tue SRO banner and I'm looking forward to it.

Ps. "Funny" thing is though, that the series officials already stated, the the three conpetitor cars in the GT Cup will have a BoP applied to level them out.

Especially on pure power alone the Porsche is somewhat behind with 510bhp to around 700 in the Lambo and the Ferrari.

ACC is pretty much at the end of its development cycle. I suspect only minor updates after the next track dlc, as the focus will switch to AC2.

So yes, if nords were added to the SRO calendar, it could be added at some point to the game but something like that would not happen till next year, at the earliest.

I would put it at a 99.99999999999% chance you won't see Nords in ACC.

Cars are pretty obvious from the last teaser as well but I hope we get some surprise. Regarding tracks it's known that american tracks are coming at some point. What I would really like to see though is Magny-Cours (haven't driven there in ages) as well as the updated Catalunya and Zandvoort layouts for seasons currently in the sim to make it whole.
