New ACC Content Coming March 23rd

ACC Challenge DLC 01.jpg
A tweet from the official Assetto Corsa account has confirmed that new "challengers" are coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione later this month.

Silhouettes, sounds and shadows are all Kunos Simulazioni has revealed so far about new content coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione on March 23rd. A tweet that included a video and the statement "new challengers are joining us" has been shared.

While the names of the cars that will be included in this release haven't been officially listed, Twitter detectives suspect that the Ferrari 488 Challenge, Porsche 992 GT3 Cup, BMW M2 CS Racing, Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO, and perhaps an Audi R8 EVO 2 could be part of it.

This is all of the detail we have on the release, so no word has yet been given on pricing or when it will be available to console users.

RaceDepartment will of course cover more on this new content as Kunos shares more about it, but for now we want to hear from you about which new content you'd be most excited to drive, and if the guesses concerning the cars are right or wrong.

Small upgrade of current cars... this game is too repetitive, too little selection of cars and tracks.
You do realize that this game is focused on one aspect of sim racing and is not trying to represent every car in the world ? Kinda like WRC doesnt' have GT3 cars, F1 20xx doesn't have Ferrari 488 or GT 7 doesn't have karts.

Just for my own education, when I see people say this about any sim, I always assume they have driven every track and every car in that sim. Is that a safe assumption ?

Let me help you then, why buy a product which has no ties to your dream track? You wouldn't buy ACC and then whine that you can't race the Indy 500? ACC 'IS' associated exclusively with SRO products. If Stefan Ratel does not have his fingers in a series, you won't see it with ACC. If SRO ever gets it's hooks into ADAC or VLN, THEN you might see the Ring, til then you are asking for something that just doesn't fit. Like Pineapple on a Pizza.

Next time, if we see these users' opinions that you don't agree with so please don't take them too seriously and we better ignore them.

Isn't it most likely to be the GT2 European Series? Are there SRO series for the 488 Evo or Porsche Cup?

About time we get the Super Trofeo EVO for this game. Hopefully this update will add a bit more variety to the multiplayer lobbies

I am personally excited for the Porsche. I hope we do get LeMans. Gt3 I thought took part in 24h
Le Mans track is not part of SRO Motorsport Group activities. GT3 cars are not racing in 24h Le Mans... yet (GTE class is dying and new class based on GT3 cars is planned to replace it in 2024).

Isn't it most likely to be the GT2 European Series?
No, it was already said in comments above (Porsche, BMW, Audi, Lamborghini, Ferrari). Most of the cars from upcoming car pack were teased by Kunos Simulazioni before. There's not much left to guess, maybe one or two cars more... maybe none.

Are there SRO series for the 488 Evo or Porsche Cup?
No stand alone series in SRO, but these cars are racing in some SRO races. 911 GT3 Cup cars are racing on special ocasions, like 24h Spa and the 488 Challenge Evo was guest entry in GT2 European Series.

Yes. I never got this obsession that some people have for the Nordschleife...
That`s exactly same thing like kids want candy. When they get it, its all over. You will never hear something from ppl who really know the track. I bet all these "obsessed people" don`t know the track by heart, inside-out -> go play GT7 :)

I am super excited for this car pack dlc, the Porsche cup car and M2 CS should be very very fun to drive.
As for tracks, we will get a track pack in summer so thats also taken care of. I assume this year will be the last hurrah for ACC before development fully shifts to AC2. Kunos did a great job with this game in my book, thats for sure. When it got announced back then in i think march or april 2018 i was only so so because only GT3, a class i was at that time not really into as i liked to drive rather sportscars or supercars in racing games, but by god they delivered a fun driving experience. Now i have clocked in almost 500h in ACC according to Steam. Never saw that coming.

Go out and drive there for real, with any car, then you understand.
It is quite the buzz in real life. Don't see what's what wrong with people who view it as the best track wanting to see it in what the probably think is the best sim. If it was DLC then you could say 'if you don't like it don't buy it' to the stop crying about it people.

I have driven the real NS quite a few laps if i may say so, but tbh i am one of the people that think that the joy and excitement does not translate well into the sim versions of this track. I love it in real life and i find it for my taste quite boring in a sim. To me its rather made for hotlapping, but not for racing and competing. Most overtakes during real life NLS/VLN races between GT3s dont happn on the NS but rather on the GP track section. In simracing however i like to race and compete with or against others and hotlapping was never really that fun for me in a sim. Hence why i am not obsessed with having Nords in a game. If its there, fine, if not, i dont miss it at all.
I can understand some people want it in their favorite racing game and thats fair, but i dont get the actual obsession with it.
