List of Automobilista 2 Cars with Updated Tire Model

Automobilista 2 Tire Update List.jpg
Reiza Studios has been updating previously released cars to the newest tire model to improve the handling and feel of the vehicle; here is a current list of the cars with these updated tires.

The past two major updates for Automobilista 2 have included tire physics updates for select cars. The new tires feature a stiffer carcass, resulting in an improved driving experience thanks to a more connected feeling through a steering wheel and more responsive car handling across the various in-game surfaces.

Reiza's intent appears to be set on updating the vast catalog of cars to this new and improved tire model starting with the most popular classes. Here is a list of the classes that have been updated as of the time of this writing:
  • Formula Ultimate Gen 1 (based on the 2019 Formula One car)
  • Formula Ultimate Gen 2 (based on the 2022 Formula One car)
  • GT3 and GT4
  • GTE
  • Porsche Cup 3.8L and 4.0L models
  • Daytona Prototype
  • Stock Car Pro (2019 to 2022 models)
  • SuperV8 (based on Supercar V8 series)
  • GT1
  • P1 (Metalmoro AJR variants and Ginetta G57)
  • Ultima GTR Race
  • Copa Montana
  • Ginetta G55 GT4 Supercup
  • Sigma P1
Between the two F1-inspired cars and the always popular GT3 and GTE classes, Reiza has likely updated cars that most players currently enjoy.

Is ABS/TC working properly? Even at 10 the wheels still lock under braking and slip on corner exist. This is not realistic.
Some cars like the Ginetta G58 are on point some others less. Generally it has improved compared to a few months ago, probably some cars still need more improvement..

Great stuff mr Mike, as usual ;)

Pitty MP is horrid.... cause most of the rest Reiza is slowly tackling
There is a free competition system for AMS2, with daily races, seasons, standings, ratings, stats, race licenses, etc. With some community love it can be huge.

"can't drive" sounds like over your skill level ;)
Sometimes the problem exits between wheel and chair.
Its not a car where you can jump in and kick in like a GT3 Bobby car.
But isn't it that everybody wants to have? Easy to drive ( Forza) or cars with a bit personality.
Five to 10 laps at Laguna Seca and this cars made fun. Even with default settings.
But don't forget to reset the tuning setup to default as suggested. Old setups are really obsolete.
In this case the issue still exists with the car. Reiza have found some major errors in the build spec that will be corrected next update.

Has something gone wrong for me? Tried the SuperV8 at Interlagos and it was awful. :( Undriveable on hards and not all that better on softs. Did a load of Laps 2 weeks or so ago around Adelaide and only struggled on hards to be consistant...But with the new patch hards feel like I'm on Ice, there is zero grip. I deleted my tuning folder and reset to default setup in game, but I feel something has gone very wrong. It was difficult to even drive straight on the hards with what felt like an oscillation coming out of the final turn and out of Turn 3. Softs were better but again I felt like there was very little grip. I know Super V8s are suppossed to be on the "animal" side of the handling spectrum, but it feels worse then before for me. :(

I tested the GT3 and GTE cars some weeks ago, they still had this issue.
Will test them today.
Depends on the car.. The Vette has a good TC, the Merc GT3 could be stronger. The Ginetta G58 IMHO has both TC and ABS on point. DPis still could use more TC authority.
It's still a mixed bag with some cars in better shape than others.

Try hotter track temps on the same track and see if it is better. I find that not very hot track temps sort of turn off the tires.

There are still issues with the car that have been identified. It is a powerful car for certain but the way it rotates on power is comical at the moment. Also the real car can attack curbs while this version cannot.
It is expected to be addressed in the upcoming update. Some of the things you describe however are not my experience with the car so I am unsure what is happening.

The cars in AMS2 are the best of all sims now. Reiza came THAT far.

But I agree with this partly:
Pitty MP is horrid.... cause most of the rest Reiza is slowly tackling
MP driving is great when it works, but the bugs are horrid indeed. I really hope that Reiza/Renato will focus now on a stable multiplayer experience for everyone(and PLEASE let people always join the match, also during the last 2 mins of quali... (what is 4 mins in total, since the race start is also 2 mins)) and scheduled races with good standard, fixed rules would be great to have too.
