Forza Motorsport Unveils New Oval Circuit

Only two months remain until the release of Forza Motorsport on October 10th, and after the recent deep dive into the tire model and AI improvements, a new track has been announced: The ficitional circuit is called Eaglerock Speedway, and its announcement also revealed a new car to be coming to the new Forza Motorsport.

The new track is an oval, but not a D-shaped one like many 1.5-mile speedways found in the United States. Eaglerock Speedway's shape rather resembles that of the Milwaukee Mile, although the new Forza track looks to be longer than the famous venue in the Wisconsin State Fair Park. The trailer shows only slightly-banked turns, so the track might not be a full-throttle affair for the entire lap.

There may be more to the circuit than just the oval version, though: The track map shown in the trailer also includes what looks like a large chicane in the middle of the back straight, so a road course configuration could also be part of the track, although it looks less intricate than the Daytona road course, for example - which is hardly surprising considering the size of the latter, to be fair.

14 Circuits Now Confirmed

Also new to the franchise is the 2020 Audi RS3, which can be seen running the oval course at speed in the trailer. According to Audi, the sedan's engine puts out 395 hp - though that is likely subject to change in Forza Motorsport with the series' usual tuning and upgrade options at hand.

The announcement of the new Audi and Eaglerock Speedway follows the confirmation that Road America would return to the franchise's new release, raising the number of confirmed tracks to 14. You can find a full list (as of August 9th, 2023) below.

Honestly i would just want a racing game to be filled with dozens of only fantasy tracks. I am sick of Nordschleife, Spa, Monza ... add something unique that isn't limited by realism.
I would love some proper fantasy packs on sims.

The older tracks with zero / low saftey regs are so much better than their modern variants.

I know there are mod tracks available, but some proper dev built fantasy ones would be superb as a DLC.

But not DLC, make it part of the game. Expensive already as is and i ain't paying money for extra stuff.

High speed Ring and Tokyo R246 Come to mind. I'm on the same boat there.

2 months away ...

Intelligent People: Hey, can we see the UI, actual single player racing lasting more than a minute that showcases this "awesome" AI that you keep telling us about, and a display of features in action within gameplay singleplayer parameters?

Forza: Hey, look at this cool track we are including
Its always a red flag for me when a game simply refuses to show me proper gameplay.
Also that driving of Chris Esaki during their show was abysmal, you could see he really is not playing his own game like at all. He was using that wheel like an old person who did not drive a car in the last 30 years.
Just put out 1-2 laps from cockpitview and replay cams with zero music or commentary, just the racing. And let me be the judge of it. Don't talk over it, dont stop/pause or anything.

I would say... a racing game without Nordschleife is not a racing game :sneaky:
But honestly, I've played so many racing games before, so whatever is in this game, I'm going to have a lot of fun. I hope...

Sims require design that is plausible. No wonder fictional tracks are rare these days. It takes more time to design fictional tracks that is unique and pretty but still realistic. Its easier to scan existing track. This oval is easy to make it look good and realistic, even if its fictional, comparing to redesigns of old GT tracks.
I would rather have 5 greatly modeled real tracks than 10 fictional tracks that belong to Gran Turismo 4 physics.

A classic fantasy track DLC should be ofered on relase or packaged as a deluxe version etc

Yes! 100% I remember how excited I'd be for every new NFS game (before it went the open-world route for good) because of the new unique tracks each offering brought along.

I would rather have seen a video on Road America and a tweet about Eagle Rock.
This didn't age well, and I look like some sort of foolish jive turkey. There's a Road America and Kayalami video...

Does anyone know a way to season words? I apparently have to eat mine.

Given that they are upgrading the physics I'm slightly interested in this...

Will be interesting to see how it drives... Some good tracks to try it on... Could be fun...

i am pausing these latest 4k trailers to look at the visual quality of the game and tbh i am so super not impressed.
not seeing anything 'next gen' here, in fact i wonder why its not coming to XBone, the visuals dont seem that demanding compared to FM7.
that latest one with the wet track, honestly the wet patches and reflections look really bad.
