Microsoft’s driving game is heading to Kent next, with a free update expected later this month.
Forza Motorsport will continue its evolution when Brands Hatch is added to its roster in the next significant game update.
The game originally launched with 20 venues back in October 2023, with locations such as Laguna Seca, Kyalami and Maple Valley either completely rebuilt or all new. But then, there was Spa-Francorchamps, which was not, with the pre-2022 layout.
Since the release, all subsequent tracks have been added for free, such as Yas Marina.
Recently, however, subsequent additions, such as the Daytona International Speedway and Nürburgring Nordschleife have left a lot to be desired. Firstly, Daytona used the same, inaccurate, pit exit as 2017’s Forza Motorsport 7, and then the Nordschleife was riddled with track width, kerbing and corner angle inaccuracies.
Next up will be southern England’s undulating Brand Hatch venue. Typically available in two layouts, Indy and Grand Prix, a teaser images for the title’s 'Update 7’ have revealed that it will be the next roster addition.
Whether or not it has been freshly scanned or this is a polished version of 7’s replication remains to be seen.
As ever, it is expected that the seventh ‘main’ game update will add new and returning vehicles to the game. The Turn 10 Studios development team recently changed how car parts are unlocked and is said to be working on further AI behaviour and penalty system improvements.
The full details will be unveiled on 8th April 2024. Let us know in the comments below, or on X (@OverTake_gg) what you would like to see.
