DTM Esports kicks off the competitive calendar within RaceRoom. With 32 places up for grabs, drivers from all over the world look to compete for a share in the €50,000 prize pool.
The last time the DTM Esports championship ran back in 2022, Team Redline’s Kevin Siggy came away with the title. The Slovenian will be keen to defend his title in 2024. Two years on, however, there are plenty of new faces and teams looking to take his crown away from him.

In 2024, the DTM Esports Pro Championship season will consist of two ‘shootouts’ which entail an online leaderboard challenge and a race, to then confirm the season-long entry list. The first leaderboard hot lap challenge closed today (15/01/2024), with the second in RaceRoom (open to everyone) running from the 19th to the 20th of January.
When each leaderboard closes, the top 100 drivers are invited by email to participate in the multiplayer races. The top 56 drivers are then split across two grids to compete in heat 1 and heat 2.
The top 6 competitors of Heat 1 and 2 will directly qualify for the main season of DTM Esports. Positions 7-22 of both heats will move to the last race, heat 3, after which the top 4 are qualified for the main season. Then that sets the entry list for a six-round championship:

Additionally, on the 8th of December last year, KW Studios brought the 2023 DTM pack to the forefront of its free-to-enter sim racing title. The content pack brought the full grid (minus Lamborghini) to RaceRoom with all the drivers, cars and liveries. Notably for the esports series, it debuted the Ferrari 296 GT3 and Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II.
All six events, as well as the qualifying phase, will be shown live on the DTM YouTube channel with commentary available in both German and English.

Is RaceRoom Fit For Purpose?
Throughout 2023, RaceRoom received several technical updates and changes, most notably to its tyre model. RaceRoom has always been an underdog compared to the bigger budget titles like iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
