From my experience R3E has the best triples support I've seen to date. Sure, you have to do the Nvidia surround thing, do some measurements and type in a game launch argument, but I've had moments driving in traffic in this game when I've been straight up blown away by how realistic the depth and scaling looks.
No stretching or weird distortion anywhere to be found.
Most of the sim has correct Triple screen scaling if set up properly, it's not something exclusive to Raceroom. The fact that it doesn't work without surround or eyefinity is a big drawback as those two method can get triple screen display setting in trouble easily. RRRE is the ONLY sim that require those aging method to work in Triple screen.

Yes, I recall AC and rF2 having quite good triple options as well.
I personally preferred using nvidia surround approach. I could never quite get the scaling to look correct using the individual screen method. My problem, not the sims :)
It got to a point where I became tired of adjusting settings and just wanted to drive

After this article I 've decided to give Raceroom a chance again. I had many many many Eyefinity failed setting attempt and annoying issues the last few months, today due to unknown black magic , my eyefinity finally worked correctly. I can enjoy a native triple screen driveing with RRRE now and it's very good. Even the outdated graphic it seems not so outdated now. The only issue I still find annoying is the old white UI, it's slow, too many clicks from sim launch to drive in-game.

I really want to enjoy Raceroom but god damn it if i tried dialing it in.

AC, AMS2, ACC all work great without any tweaking. Raceroom? It doesnt matter what simucube profile or ffb settings i try, the steering just feels dead in the center and things just dont communicate in the same way like other sims.

Its really a shame because the sound is amazing and the car selection is great but I get no joy from the ffb at all.

Just FYI, but iRacing really only costs about $3 USD per month. A couple of times per year you can buy 12 months for $75, and then you get $10 per quarter in credits for participating in official series. So $35 per year - a very good deal for what you get IMO.

So I guess I just have to wait until it goes on sale a couple times a year. Then, since I don't have time to race in regular races let alone official series, I was never eligible for credits. For me, every other business model works better than iRacings. And that is just for me.

I have always tried to use iRacing to prepare for racing on new tracks IRL. Doing online racing with other hacks is okay, but solo practice is certainly better for learning tracks. And again, they don't give out credits for that.

Off topic: nothing beat being an early investor in PCars1! In the end, I got paid to play that game, it is still the 2nd highest played game on steam for me.

Have you tried it after this week's update? I found the new model lacking color and information on my TM TX and preferred the old mdel. But I jumped in after the update this week, and maybe it was the car combo I was racing, but it felt really good. More nuanced, more similar to AMS 2. Could be some other factors, but I was impressed.

Sure would be nice to be paid to play games :)

For me, based on hours of use per $ spent, I made some really bad purchases with AC, ACC, AMS2 :)

Oh didnt know there was an update, will have to try! Thanks

I bought all the DLC for AC about 1 1/2 years after I stopped playing it. That was dumb. Anything with a manual clutch doesn't seem to work right. Nascar Heat 4 was a bad buy, but I only paid $5. ACC would be worst on the list for me too. I was worried about AMS2, but the new carsets I see out there mean it will be climbing up my list. They need to stop releasing one car at a time for multiple series and just release a whole set at a time so you can start racing a season with it. (Example: why would I start a season now with the GT1s when the R290 is near at hand?)

But in the end, don't torture yourself looking back. Just think of your next hour.

Still can't get behind the pay model in this and iRacing. I don't even want to start playing it because it seems a bit pointless when I'll be cut off from so much of the content.
Totally different model to Iracing, like 100% different

ohh one thing don't forget you need to be online also for single racing or practice (offline races) and yes is not bad sim, but when you look around you will see most new sims going in the direction to be closed product where no real moding is possible (AMS2/RR3/iRacing/Nascar crap Ignition and all Motorsports Games crap)
