Included are three liveries representing the 1970 Nissan Factory works team, which campaigned the then new front wheel drive E10 Nissan Cherry "X-1".

In charge of developing the race version was the "Special Vehicle Test Section No. 2" based at the Nissan Factory in Murayama. The motors developed in collaboration with a team at Ogikubo.

The engine was an A12 (1,171cc), bored up to 1,289cc. With primary specifications (Solex 40PHH carburetor), this put out 100PS/8,000rpm; with secondary specifications (Lucas fuel injection), performance rose to 150PS/8,5000rpm; and with tertiary specifications (cross-flow double ignition), this OHV engine achieved an impressive maximum power of 160PS/8,800rpm.

As early as November 1970, just a month after the Cherry was launched, testing was conducted at the Fuji circuit. The Cherry’s racing debut came in October 1971: the 5th event at the Fuji GC, the Masters 250km race. The model used then was still the 2-door X-1, but it won a splendid victory in the rain, coming in 1st and 2nd places (#11, Kurosawa & #12, Tohira) against larger Sunny and Corolla coupes in Touring Class A.

Using Macedo's excellent conversion of My Summer Car's Satsuma (big credit to their modelling commitment and skills!). This E10 model is really friendly in terms of modifying to suit your visual and driving style. With many custom rim models included, as well as the ability to remove parts from the model, it really allowed me to make an E10 replica that looked period correct as the authentic X-1.

Note: The Cherry will appear with Bumpers, Stock Rims, and extra trim from the in-game showroom. The stripped down model will appear in session.

Included with the skins is a data pack, tweaked to allow the Cherry to run competitively with most TCL or 1200cc vintage race cars. (specifically, copy pasted data from the TCL and Pessio Racing Mini).

So I definitely encourage you to seek out the Satsuma, and to create your own liveries for this awesome little car.

Thank you for letting me know. The photos are awesome. I really want to know how they got their models looking so period correct with the tires and trim deletes.
