What:
As requested, a new ai_hints file for Le Mans 1982 from right here on RD.
(I found the the fast_lane to be good).
Some cars suffer from the same unfortunate combination of a high top speed and historic brakes as seen in Le Mans 1967. The hint file makes all cars - sort of - 'lift 'n coast' at the end of Mulsanne.
Installation:
Unfortunately one can' t drag and drop this into CM so: Copy the ai_hints file into the folder(s):
- tracks\le_mans_82\lmstart\data
- tracks\le_mans_82\regular\data
Used mods and settings:
- the gtsupreme_groupC cars.
- the BMW M1, Lancia Beta and 935K3 from the DRM pack
(with great skins from this guy)
Tested on a dry track only with: AI skill: 100% and aggression 55%
Outlier:
The 'gtsupreme_groupC_rondeau_m382' is the limiting factor. Taming the whole field just so the Rondeau can make one corner seems wrong.
Therefore the ai.ini file of the car should be amended from:

to :

GASGAIN=4.0
BRAKE_HINT=0.9
