FIVE very competitive high performance V8 powertrains in nine different folders for the much loved Porknose! Proper ZF transmissions with fully adjustable gearboxes! Perfect for racing setups. These powertrains are all completely different from my previous upload. All cars weigh the same 670 kg so weight will not affect tire wear and grip. There is super competition to be had here.
This mod was originally made to match up with this great vintage skin pack by frape56. https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/skins-for-pessios-garage-porknose.31691/
With some thought and planning you can use this assortment of powertrains for any of the multitude of skin packs available for the Porknose here on Race Department. Just be selective as to what skins are in each powertrain's skins folder and you can create competitive packs for whatever skin packs you download. For example I have also recently matched up these powertrains to this terrific 1968 Indy 500 skin pack by MrBraindown https://www.racedepartment.com/down...in-pack-for-pessio-garage-rd1-porknose.40133/
These new powertrains average out at about 400bhp or a bit above. AI specs have been adjusted but may not be perfect depending on the track. The level of 'aggression' selected greatly affects how these open wheeled cars play together. I recommend 50% or less.
INSTALLATION:
The installation of this performance pack is not as straight forward as most but it isn't rocket science either. There is a very good, detailed readme text included with this download. Follow it exactly and you won't have any issues.
SOUND: Each of these new powertrains will need new sound assigned to them. They are all V8's. The easiest way is to use Content Manager's 'Replace Sound' function to alias another car's sound to these new 'cars'. I have given a description of source for each engine in the 'ui' for each car. A good idea would be to install the cars first, read the UI description in the car selection screen and choose your sound pack based on that. Or wing it. Up to you. As always, have fun!
I welcome any questions in the 'discussion' tab related to this download.
