This mod is a 'competent' mod that for several reasons wasn't quite a 'keeper' for me.
Upon starting rfactor, I immediately recognized the music in this mod: Orchestral Manouvres In The Dark, a new wave/synth-pop 80s band from England. The song: Enola Gay.
I haven't heard any songs from this band in many many years but I knew immediately who it was.
Very nice, interesting, and original menu music...
This mod includes roughly 20 or so 1981 Formula 1 cars which have fairly well-detailed exteriors.
The rear view mirrors (a total of two -one on each side of the car) from the interior cockpit view are 'quasi-obfuscated' by the sides of the vehicle. This doesn't make any sense and was a major con.
The driving physics are a little 'too easy' using the keyboard compared to most other vehicles made by rfactor mods: From what I could tell, it's almost impossible to 'oversteer' or to 'spin out' by taking a turn at too high a velocity or too sharply. I prefer some difficulty (not too much) and challenge when driving sims and realistic vehicles so that I am not too lax in my driving...and so that I really have to be EXTREMELY SKILLED and accurate in my driving abilities and racing lines when I am racing.
Also, there are no visible hands or arms on the steering wheel and more importantly no functioning/visible speedometer: All the gauges in the cockpit view are a little too small or of not any value. This was also a major 'put-off.'
