Requires:
The 1986 FIA Formula One World Championship was the 40th season of FIA Formula One motor racing which commenced on 23 March and ended on 26 October after sixteen races. The Drivers' Championship was won by Alain Prost,[1] and the Manufacturers' Championship was won by Williams.[2] Prost was the first driver to win back-to-back Drivers' Championships since Jack Brabham in 1959 and 1960.

Please note: This is not an actual representation of the year but more of a best-effort. Finding the right cars, tracks and skins has proven very difficult for the early decades. As such you may wish to swap some of the tracks for your favourites. (ie Brands Hatch is a Modern Kunos Version)

Car: Lotus 98T (Kunos Original)

Skins: 1986 full set by (Alystar)

Tracks: All the tracks/cars/skins can be found using original AC tracks, Racedepartment, assettocorsaclub (Mod Grand prix 1988) , using your favourite ‘search engine’.

Cloning and amending any Assetto Corsa Custom Championship using Content Manager:

I recommend using 'Content Manager' - all the parameters are adjustable (See included youtube link for using the 'content manager')

Content Manager can be downloaded for free (However, I do recommend paying for the full version to support its development and to get the full potential) here:

I also use the following MODS for enhanced immersion

This mod is kind of a dream-come-true to me. I'm an older guy and I was a kid back in 1986 and I still remember this season very well.

In retrospective it might be one of the best F1 season lineups ever. So many past and future world champions: Rosberg and Prost at McLaren, Piquet, Senna, Mansell. And on top of that great drivers like Alan Jones, Alboreto, Berger, Arnoux, Laffite, Patrese, de Angelis...

Most powerful F1 cars ever, Berger reported wheel spin on his Benetton BMW at 345 km/h. Insane times, crazy drivers.

The cars are very well made and they feel genuinely scary in the mod. 1988 tracks are probably quite accurate for the 1986 season too. I have already spent too much time with this. Can't get enough.
