I had a long break working on my street tracks.
There was too much other interesting AC stuff, like Rally-Cross cars and gravel tire physics and Rally-Cross tracks to make.
So when I went back to Bruschied, I wanted to make something "big??".
Bruschied-8 has three different layouts now:
1. The original layout
2. A short lap running between Rudolfshaus and Bruhschied - you can see the Schmidburg only from afar.
3. An 8-form layout with the middle part used two times within a single lap.
I was quite happy with the 8-layout but the cameras do not work in the middle part as there are 2 different parts of the AI-line running along the same road.
Further the side lines of the AI-line are not OK
I didn´t find a way to fix it.
If I may find a solution some day for this problem, there will be version 1.0 - finally.
The 0.99 might not be free from glitches but it adds a lot of variation to this "adventurous" peace of road.
Maybe someone sometime organizes a race around this track
Like a multiclass "Targa Allemania" - with GT cars and prototypes from the 70s.
This would be one of my dreams come true.
I have found some new images of "Rudolfshaus" and had to update the location.
I also tried a new approach for my electric installations and removed the power lines running through the valley - these didn´t really fit after some thinking over and I will install new ones like in "Rudolfshaus".
I removed some colliders in "Rudolfshaus" and a glitch in the mesh that @Oli24 told me about and I moved the street lamps on pedestrian ways to the far side - as you would expect anyhow.
Further 2 traffic signs in "Bundenbach" that were placed on the road and had totalled my car 3 times now.
The potholes on the old country road are more "civilized" now and shifted a little away from the ideal line.
Changed the texture of the "Hahnebach" to a more "blueish" one.
Finally some tweaks on the "ext_config.ini":
Raised fade out distance for the street lights - it still keeps running on stable 90FPS in VR on my RTX2070 and the looks are better.
Raised reflectivity of the street markings for better night visibility.
On my research I found some historic pictures of the hillcimb "Rudolfshaus-Bruschied" from the time I was living there (and before).
The start:
The 2. hairpin at the slate mine "Alt Layenkaul"
The 3. hairpin with the rock wall - when it was constructed in 1905
The stretch towards "Bruschied"
So you see: It´s all not that perfect in a sense of realism.
But in a sense of fun to drive I hope it gets nearly to the goal.
See you on the track
Ahh, I forgot these cars that I saw at my visit, starting uphill - I wasn´t interested in the girls though
