This is what the app was missing, mainly because it was never meant to be the app it is now, but just and fps monitor and a lights counter, but it grew up more than I expected. I never used Python before, so it became an excuse to learn it while developing this app.
Also, I downloaded a lot of mods (apps, tracks, cars) and I thought it was about time I gave something back to the AC community.
I'd like to thank Ilja (x4fab) that with his wonderful work with Content Manager first and the shaders lights mod then, has given an extra life to AC. And many things are yet to come from him and from the AC modders community. Thanks guys!
I don't know if I will further develope this app, maybe I'll add a preset per mode that I had already started (so that you can choose what interface to have when in practice/race/hotlap/...) so... I hope you enjoyed it and found it useful somehow.
- ver. 1.5.0
- Now you can create/edit/delete other options for:
- INCLUDE section
- LIGHTING section
- MODEL_REPLACEMENTS sections
In order to use the app you need to have installed at least Lights Shaders Patch v0.1.23-preview86
Just use the switch on the top of the SELECTOR app to access the settings.
You can create up to 10 MODEL_REPLACEMENTS, but should you need more just tell me.
- Added two new brightness levels so now you have:
- 0 (track lights off), 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200% brightness level
Thanks again for using my app!

- ver. 1.4.8
- New section OPTIONS
- COLOR_TO
- DIRECTION_OFFSET
In order to use the app you need to have installed at least Lights Shaders Patch v0.1.23-preview86
Use COLOR_TO to define the final color for a LIGHT_X section
- User defined colors
- You can now add your preferred colors to colors_user.blm in the colors folder
Open the file with a text editor and add yours as DESCRIPTION = R, G, B using 0-255 values. (I'm not using .ini or .txt extensions because otherwise files would end up in the CM settings page).
This file will never be overwritten by next updates because I'm not including it anymore. Next times it will be created (if not found) after clicking on the palettes icons (showed by the arrows in first pic).
You can then find your preferred colors under the last tab (MY COLORS) in the Color Selector window.
- Fixed background size for FPS only interface and added two new graph backgrounds that you can choose from BLM Lights' CM settings
- Minor fixes
- Updated the attached Oulton Park lights configuration with more lights and adjustments

Finally found what was causing the crash on some systems (settings.ini wasn't being created if not opening CM settings). Thanks @Dirk Steffen, @DrLimerep and Banksy Kai!
We should be ok now, but in case... i leave here a previous 1.4.4.5 version
- ver. 1.4.7
- Potential duplicated sections in config files ignored
In order to use the app you need to have installed at least Lights Shaders Patch v0.1.23-preview86
To install this mod, just unzip the file to the main AC folder. Sometimes updating with other tools doesn't update all files (like settings_default.ini)
- ver. 1.4.6.2
- new user interfaces
- fixes
Now you can choose between 5 interfaces:
- Compact (default) - just switches, can't edit lights
- Compact Developer - usual switches plus another one that opens the editor windows
- Extended - all the infos (collapsable); you can even enable/disable single lights, but can't edit them
- Extended Developer - the usual extend interface. You can see all the infos and you can create/edit lights
- Only FPS info - just what it says

Sorry, until I find why for some is crashing, it's better to rollback to the latest stable version: 1.4.4.5
Should you anyway wanted to try 1.4.6.2 to see if it works for you, download it from here
Should you have problems with latest updates, revert back to 1.4.4.5 that's the last version that doesn't crash as is happening lately for some users. I'm trying to find the cause, sorry fir that.

- ver. 1.4.1.7
- Synked all switches when enabling here, disabling there, turning on this and off that...
- Improved the performance exp. when all apps windows are open
- Added track lights number info in user mode
Together with the app I reintroduced the tracks I built lights for (Oulton Park, Road America and Road Atlanta 2017), but without the AO patches that take too much room. If you don't have them take a look at the ac custom shaders discord channel or grab them from here

If you want to find config files, search them in the libraries of the AC Custom Shaders Discord channel.
A quick fix for replacing non-ASCII characters that could be found in config files that would make the Python's configParser crash. Sorry
- ver. 1.4.1.2 fix for non-ASCII chars
- ver. 1.4.1.1 Reintroduced the Flags switch:
Since not all tracks have real digital flags, like Oulton Park has:
Tracks lights builder could pick an object and use it as digital flag.
In this case I'm using curbs @ Road America:
If you don't like it, you can always turn if off:
Together with this update, the lights mod for Oulton Park, Road Atlanta and Road America.

- No more a workaround but now native digital flags support (check Oulton Park that comes with this update), so update shader lights patch to preview66 in order to use them. Thanks Ilja!
- switch for different lights types monitor, so you have lights values for:
- tracks & cars
- only track
- only cars
VERY IMPORTANT!
Starting from this 1.4.0 version there will be a new DEFAULT user interface. A compact - let's call it 'end user' - interface with just switches:
If you want to build lights for tracks or make changes, enable Developer mode under Content Manager settings (SETTINGS > APPS > BLM LIGHTS) or manually in settings.ini
What's also new:
Video as an end user:
- You can switch between three different lights level (if built by the track lights creators). This way you can turn on as much lights as you like or as your system supports
Video as lights creator:
As a config builder you can change the visibility level of a light source from this new option:
You can try these features with the tracks that come with this update, Oulton Park and Road Atlanta 2017.
Tracks builder told me they'll include this features too in their tracks, so take a look at the Discord Library!
