MGP17 MotoGP 17 Mods WIP Thread

Hi guys.
I've been hiding in the shadows for a bit but I wanted to share some achievements with you.

I have had some brilliant ideas recently, like really brilliant.
The reason is that Milestone added some nice variables to the game that can be used to improve the experience.

I'm talking about a literally huge mod. It would contain bike and rider textures, face packs, track textures, physics, AI improvements.

I've managed to speed up AI without bugs. It's all about thinking about how the engine works and to exploit it.



Here's the key points with examples:
-Improved and scalable AI. No bugs! It can be customized for each track and each category!
Also, each rider can be customized for each track.
I've already made Morbidelli slower in Catalunya and Mugello.

There's a great potential and I could literally make a very nice mod out of it. But it's a big project and I don't think I have the time for it, it's sad. I will keep you updated

I can't find the request thread, so I ask here. It's possible to import motorbikes from Ride and/or Ride 2? I think that the RC213V-S from Ride 2 is far better than the MotoGP17 model, even with the different airbox. Most 3d models (especially Hondas) are wrong, like the RCV New Generation of Nicky Hayden or the 2005, 2004/2003. There's a method to open the 3d models and work on them?

I've just started to make my mod with 2005-2007 season in MotoGP class to be playable in career/manager mode. I have 5 additional tracks from VRTG, now it's time to make bikes. Firstly, Rizla Suzuki :)
I know that Hopkins number and Vermeulen helmet are wrong!

Was working on this originally for last years game but Vinales' ingame leathers have an awful colour palette and several other outdated inaccuracies

I'm starting to think Milestone bases their entire colour palette off the official team launch photoshoots rather than any actual team colour codes

The UV Map for the number on the 2017 M1 is a laughably undersized wonky disaster, even the vanilla textures have this problem (don't mind the wonky Movistar logo)

This is my mod now : http://imgur.com/a/arriV ,i only have a problem with visors,i don't know how only lorenzo's helmet work..someone know how to fix it?

You need to save in .dds with DTX5 with the same MIP maps of the original visor texture.
Also you need to edit the channel Alpha 1, its very important because this make the transparency in the game, to dark make the visor more transparent, more white make it more opaque.

This is a example of my visor of my carreer. Im edit the visor, to much gray for make it transparent.

The layer its the same, doesnt have transparency because the transparency its in the channel Alpha 1

ricky i don't know if is right, but has you can see in gfxgem there is the helmets file and is the custom helmet models, but the game use only 3 models for all custom 000 model 005 model and 035 model maybe you can refer the model you want to change to one of this 3 models so try to compare exactly custom model you have changed and in gfxgem change the compared model of you want replace, maybe is only a stupid idea but better then nothing hahahaha bye

yes yes i do it,only the problem is visor,now i try carlos tip
 
Going on with my 2005-2007 mod. Now Kawasaki 2007 with Randy de Puniet (I know his helmet is wrong).
