Just curious. I bought my 1st car last week, a 1996 Plymouth Neon coupe.

A good welder could fix it for about $10. I've welded gas tanks that had a hole. Just remove from car and fill with water, weld, empty, replace on car and go!

The tank itself is $500 and there's no aftermarket option. Patching it isn't really going to work.


I think I hit a big branch in my driveway, but I didn't think anything of it.

There are some very good plastic glues(adhesives) that could be used for a patch or some good silicon rubber.

Well, my Felicia has single point fuel injection (Bosch Mono Motronic). When it´s running on LPG, the fuel injection is disabled,this LPG system works similarly to carburetor layout. LPG mixes with air just under the petrol injector Not the most modern system (such as one LPG injector per cylinder), but hell of a reliable one
And yes, the paint needs a LOT of polishing. But I need to sort out rusty places first...

No, it´s normal gloss paint. But it shows its age, so it´s faded and matt.

Nice car! I don't really like germans, but I have a softspot por pre-00's BMW's. Your's looks great, the E39 really was the best of the 5 series, but if I were to buy one it would have to be a black on black M5!
