Track Designing Competition

A street circuit has been proposed in Miami, Florida recently for F1. Design it(with normal F1 length specifications and space for pit lane)

This looks better realistic. Pit lane in red. 4'9 km

I want all of you to think back to the disaster that was the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix.

Bernie thought it would be a good idea to lengthen the Formula One race to include the endurance version of the Bahrain International Circuit. The course went from 5.4km and 15 Turns to an annoying 6.3km and 23 Turns. (Yes, they added 8 turns in 0.9km)

Your task is to take any 2018 Formula One venue (Except Baku, Monaco, and Singapore), and develop an endurance circuit much like the 2010 Bahrain circuit. I want to see something that adds at least 2km and has 50% more turns just for the sake of making it annoying. I want a circuit that might make racing look nice on TV but all of the drivers absolutely hate it.

Have Fun!

Misread your post, yea I agree that circuit looks better than the proposed circuit- I don’t doubt the atmosphere of Miami, I just think to some level layout has to be considered rather than just choosing a city to host and trying to forge some kind of 90 crap fest

I actually like this version, too. A little more length and a few more turns. Although, the bridge. Even if it weren't a bridge, the hairpin on the far east end of the bridge is next to impossible without some reconstruction of the roadway. There are 2m high concrete barriers separating the drive lanes over the whole bridge and well beyond. Not impossible, just a hinderance.

However, we probably ought to keep this talk back in the original Miami GP thread. This is just for the little fantasy game we play.
