Marco Massarutto of Kunos Simulazioni has posted a very interesting picture on Facebook, prompting speculation that new Alfa Romeo content could be heading to Assetto Corsa soon...

The mystery post from Massarutto highlights one of the more ambitious and rare historic cars of Alfa Romeo's rich heritage, the visually (and audibly) stunning Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale.

Posted as part of his personal Facebook account, Massarutto confirms the brilliant little 33 Stradale will be "coming soon to Assetto Corsa", prompting some speculation as to if the car will be released as a standalone vehicle or part of a wider Alfa Romeo DLC package further down the line.

Produced between 1967 and 1969, Alfa manufactured just 18 examples of this high performance mid engine sports car and represents Alfa's intention to build a racing car for the road. Based on the foundations laid down by the Autodelta Alfa Romeo Tipo 33, the car immediately achieved near legendary status amongst motorcar enthusiasts.

Despite having been built during the early days of performance road car manufacture in the late 1960's, the 33 Stradale was still capable of achieving an incredible 0-60 mph in under 5.5 seconds and retailed from new for $17,000 - now thought to be in excess of $10,000,000 for a clean example of the vehicle.

Technical Specifications

Engine:
90° V8 DOHC
Displacement: 1,995 cc (121.7 cu in)
Power :230 bhp (170 kW) at 8,800 rpm
Torque: 200 N·m (150 lb·ft) at 7,000 rpm
Top speed: 260 km/h (160 mph)
0–97 km/h (0-60 mph): 5.5 seconds

Massarutto nor the Assetto Corsa team themselves have confirmed any release dates or pricing structure for the new DLC as of yet, however stay tuned to RaceDepartment to find out more as and when it becomes available.

So what feature is it this week that everybody needs?

-------
I remember when having the ability to jump the start was desperately needed otherwise online was going to die. Same thing with timed races. In fact, same thing with seemingly everything that was desperately needed.

Pretty obvious that tracks don't generate the profit that cars do, otherwise there would be a dozen people creating tracks instead of cars. I've even heard rumors that they have lost money on a couple of them, which would explain why they aren't pumping them out.

Starting the race in gear would be nice. Not that I'm eager to reinstall it, but just sayin'.

- Car (which is awesome) was announced over a year ago, nothing new here
- Different (1) person makes tracks than cars or features, like said. Stopping making cars wouldn't bring you any more of anything. How long it takes for your brain to process this information, the situation has been this for 4+ years now, I guess some people are slower but come on
- How much you are willing to pay for "New Features DLC"? (To fund further development)
- Which DLC didn't come with new features? Should they charge money for downloading 1.15 and 1.16 and 1.17 update, then you're getting the DLC you're after?
- Track pack... you must be joking. Every new track is a big project, Laguna Seca is coming

Yeah I want new LS tracks too who doesn't. (Or even non-LS, just getting mod tracks as official would make them more viable for multiplayer servers) It is what AC is most missing.

But I think Kunos knows that, repeating the same record in every AC related thread doesn't clone Simone (the track guy) into multiple Simones. Nor it does make track licensing cheaper

Honestly guys, what are you blabbering about. There's been new features added at every new release of the game, and there will be new features in the next release. I can understand complaining against the lack of new tracks, but for the rest just get your facts straight.

About features something is moving:
Lord Kunos:
Hello,

Following the discussions during last weekend we had a meeting today and I am pleased to tell you that we decided to make Custom Button Mapping the focus for the next Assetto Corsa update (ie. not the one currently going with Custom Lobby, the one after).

Thanks to all the people involved in the reports, our hope is to correctly interpret the wishes of the community
.

About Alfa, I love them but I doubt will be enough to bring me back to play AC...
