Soft lock?

Is there Any option to activate this? Or isnt implemented yet? Thought 1.3 was the release for this but dont see anything in game and I Can turn 900° the g27 with every car...

Go to- \Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg\assetto_corsa.ini
Then at the bottom- [SOFT_LOCK] ENABLED=1

And that's all.

Locks the wheel at the degrees the real wheel have. I mean, if you have a g27 that can turn 900° and you are driving a F1, it locks the g27 at 540° so you dont keep turning the wheel more than that (because it makes nothing to the car).

Yes, leave your wheel at the normal settings and the game will automatically adjust it from car to car.

tried it, and didn't feel right, so went to manually updating and entering as many as i now, and installed Fanaleds again, so Fanaleds makes the adjustments in game. (CSW V2, Sen=Aut) and in AC in game menu "dor=40". and works like a charm!
"soft lock" did not work at all for me...vehicles felt twitchy or like boats on the ocean.

Soft lock not working for me neither. And does something to the ffb in certains points that feels weird

agree! changed it back to "0", felt so wrong across almost all tested cars...not sure, I an trying to find out, how to figure out wheel rotations/ angles...but seems not much so far!

You've probably reached the end where the wheel hit the soft lock.

It's a similar feeling but the wheel stops earlier with soft lock enabled.
There are no reason why you should keep turning your wheel once you've passed the maximum lock since the wheels wont turn any further.

did a fresh install last night of windows 8.1 pro and steam AC 1.3.1 only on my 2nd rig...
CSW V2=900 (in driver! with 226&116 latest)
CSW V2=Sen=Aut (on wheel!)
AC in game=dor=900
AC ini file=soft lock=1

FFB gets completely out of whack along with vehicles turning become like boats almost do full complete turns on my BMW GT rim...so does notvwork for me (

no on the 2nd rig, clean install, no mods, no fanaleds, no apps, nothing at all.

does this work now 100%? soft enabled in game AC ini file and game setting wheel DOR=900 and that's it?
does this work with MOD cars too?

IIRC Stefano said in a youtube stream that the soft lock has been disabled as it didn't work as anticipated.
