Oh. So I d rather set my goal to be in first 10 . My best is 10:27, but I dont think I will be able to find more 10 sec :) Anyway its not about setting times, but for me its all about racing with other people. And i think there will be hell of a race on this track.

10:27 is still very good, the old lap record was a 10:28 ...

Think I peaked the other day with a 10:36 ... struggling to get 10:40 and stay on the track again :( It's such a long track, it's difficult to practice areas that are personal weak points...

After all, no one really cares about hotlap times at the end of the race (exept maybe the Pole Setter for the little extra point). During 4 laps on NOS there are more than 600 good chances to buzz off ... so consistency is king for this race.
Our alien drivers with consistent wr-times are a different ballgame anyways ;)

I see there is a RaceDepartment server with this track but I cant find a password to join it? Also, what track grip level do we start with?

The server is running this combo for practise.
You can use the club racing password that you will find HERE.

And for the beginning of the sunday's practise, you can expect a green track (around 96%), if I'm not wrong, @Tobias Röhner ?

Next to full fuel might just do the trick, I run a lap with default fuel and fuel consumption is unusually high for Nords.
Because the car is low in torque and needs high revving to go fast....I used to drive a Peugeot 1.4 206 that did 10L/100km on the highway compared to a 5,4L/100km with my Astra 1.7cdTi now. If I floor the pedal though in full acceleration I can get a very brief peak of +25L. Fortunately that is not a standard :D

FYI...the Astra weighs a significant 350kg more than the 206
;)

Did a quick hotlap at 10:23.06, so about 5 seconds off pace of Tobias. A lot, but not as much as you would think given that it's the Ring (at least this is what I'm telling myself to feel better lol)

Definitely room to get into the 10's. Should be a different story all around with race pressure and strategy factoring in.

Gonna be a good one tomorrow :)

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering due to how long it takes to calculate fuel, It's about 8 Liters a lap.

I'll be running 35 Liters for tomorrow's race. Should have a few liters to spare.
