I managed to be able to join this Rally, and it turned out to be fun, but very different. Very frantic action with no chance for a spell or to relax.
I followed Norman's advice and chose the same shoe, the Suzy. Main reason was hugely technically based, it looked the smallest and therefore less chance of hitting something.
I loved the sound of the little Suzy, felt like I was on a motorbike instead of a car, man it revs high.
Things were going smoothly until Pribram 1, where I got lost and ended up driving an extra loop around the town. I wondered why the co-driver went silent for so long, turned out he didn't go to sleep, he was just waiting for me to find the right roads again. It might have been nice if he had given me some direction though. Turns out I wasn't the only one who got lost there, almost all of the Aussies did it too.
Then on Pribram 2, I slammed those bloody barrels again, wrecking the steering. That made the rest of the Stage pretty "interesting" especially on the gravel bits.
I loved the atmosphere of the ROC 2008 finish stage. The crowds were there to cheer us home.
Thanks to all the other Aussies on TS, and to all who joined the OC session. We seemed to be all pretty close most of the time. Tremayne was looking very impressive until he also got lost at Pribram, as did Damien. We have another fast Aussie among us, woohoo!!.
Jack put in some impressive times on many stages too.
You should be ok Norman, I don't think any of us "lost" Aussies will slot into that gap in front of you.
Maybe if we had a GPS or compass, maybe.
