NOTES:

IMPORTANT:
  • Please sign up in the following format: RD Name (RSRBR2011 Name)
  • Take a screenie of RSCenter, or save your times, showing your final results at the end of the rally (including the car you drove!). This is in case any of your stages are missed by the server. If there's a discrepancy, please post your times ASAP so we're not adjusting times over 24 hours later.
  • You must stick with the same car throughout the rally - if you change, your times for those stages will be defaulted.
  • If you are new to Richard Burns Rally, we have provided a set of guidelines and links to help you get up and running: Here

Drivers:

Please Note:
We are using the same cars as we use for the current RD Rally Championship. However, you must choose your car from the opposite RDRC League class if you are currently participating in the Rally Championship S2.

That means:

1. If you currently drive in Premier League, you must choose from the Champions league cars.
2. If you currently drive in the Champions League, you must choose from the Premier league cars.
3. If you currently are not participating in the RDRC, then you have free choice of either League cars.

Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

This Rally is inspired by a suggestion from one of our Rally Club members, and is somewhat different regarding the car choices. Please read the car selection rules carefully.

For this Rally, we drive the same cars that are available for the current RD Rally Championship, except that we must swap our Car Class to the opposite League. Champion League drivers get to run the WRC cars used by the Premier League drivers, and vice versa. Non RDRC drivers are free to choose from either League class. Hopefully this may give the Champions League drivers a more competitive opportunity in the more powerful WRC cars, but the Premier League drivers may still use the better handling of the Group N cars to offset the power differences. It will be interesting to see the comparisons, and to see how comfortable drivers are in the “other” class.

All cars are AWD, but the WRC cars will have more power but require skill to harness that power. The Group N cars have great nimble handling, and can still be very quick in skilled hands.

We are running all gravel stages across Australia, so it will be a mix of tighter twisty sectors and some longer faster sectors, helping to balance the cars advantages. Weather variations are minimal, mostly good Aussie weather, but we have thrown in a couple of night / dusk stages for variety.

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1. These cars are all AWD and handling should be familiar to everyone. The WRC cars are more powerful and require more careful control. The Group N cars are extremely well balanced and more nimble and easier to drive.
2. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit these cars.
4. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2011, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions. Always double check your tyres, it is critical.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

Special thanks to Damien for the neat banner. :)

Good luck all, I hope you have fun driving your fellow RDRC drivers cars (there are a selection of League Skins available in the RDRC Forum), and hope we see a good roll up. :rally:

Here is a little promo video to give you a taste of the cars and Stages:

I took a few of the other drivers League cars out for a quick spin.

sign me up please, don't know what i am going to drive yet.

May i request an earlier start time for the OC session. Was thinking 7.30GMT(Queensland 5.30)..which should be 8.30pm my time.

Have been working 12hr days lately and getting up at 5 in the morning after being up til midnight is getting a bit much for my old bones.thanks in advance.

Sinister idea, I like it! Not sure which car I'm gonna pick, kinda torn between my usual Fiesta S2000 and borrowing the N11 from Senad. Gonna have to try them out and make a decision :).
