Weather
Variable weather with forecast (provided 10 days prior the event).

Practice
Every driver is expected to come prepared to a race. Before each Grand Prix, a driver must post a time on the official practice server which is within 107% (or a minimum time posted by the officials) of the fastest lap time recorded for his division. Failing to do so might make the driver ineligible for the race. and the place may be given to a reserve driver with a lap within the 107%.

Qualifying
·Q1: All cars may run laps at any time during the first 30 minutes. At the end of the 30 minutes, the five fastest cars advance to Q2.
·Q2: shootout between the remaining 5 cars to decide pole position. Each car can only run 3 laps: outlap, timed lap and inlap. Only the time from the timed lap will be count to determine the final grid position. Cars are to run their Superpole laps in the reverse order they completed Q1 (5th car first, then 4th, 3rd, etc.)

Drivers' Championship
The championship will be awarded to the driver with the most points at the end of the season. Should the season result in a draw, the driver with the most wins will take the prize. If they share the wins then the most podium placings will decide the title.

Teams' Championship
The Teams championship will be awarded to the Team with the most points at the end of the season. Should the season result in a draw, the Team with the most victories will take the prize. If they share the wins then the most podium placings will decide the title.

Mod
Both divisions will be using MAK-Corp’s (formerly known as MMG) 2007 Formula 1 League Edition Mod for Simbin’s RACE series. Every Team owner will receive a personal download link after his team is admitted in the league.

Car livery

There are 11 car models from the 2007 Formula 1 season and 12 liveries: Ferrari F2007, McLaren MP4/22, Toyota TF107, Honda RA107, Spyker F8-VII (+1997 Jordan-Peugeot), Williams FW29, Super Aguri SA07, Red Bull RB3, Toro Rosso STR2, Renault R27, BMW Sauber F1.07
Cars will be assigned to every team based on results from the 1st season of RDFOC. Teams in the Pro&Semi-Pro divisions can create their own liveries. All custom skins need to first be approved by the league officials (contact league officials before creating a custom skin)
Deadline for custom liveries: January 22, 2010

Formula Pro Sporting Regulations
All RaceDepartment’s league regulations apply (regulations) unless explicitly stated here. All rules apply to both Championships.

  • 75% or more of the race distance run: full points awarded.
The drivers' and teams' championship titles are awarded to the driver and constructor who score the most points over the course of the season. In the case of a dead heat for a championship place the driver or constructor with the higher number of superior race results will be awarded the win.

Classification
Any driver who completed at least 80 per cent of the race distance will be classified, whether or not he was running when the winner took the chequered flag.

Driver changes and additional drivers
Each team should try to have replacements in case one of the regular drivers call in absent for a race. A team is expected to enter both of their cars in each race, regardless of such absences. There are no limits to how many drivers a team uses throughout the season. However, team owners have to get league officials approval before entering a new driver on the grid.

Wild Card entry
At each Grand Prix weekend, the fastest reserve driver from each division for that week gets an automatic spot on the grid. That will be determined by his time on the official practice server. If the driver is not available or is already participating in that race, the wild card entry is moved onto the 2nd fastest driver, etc… The Wild Card driver only scores points towards the drivers’ championship.

Driver penalties
Stewards have the power to impose various penalties on a driver if he commits an offence during a race. Offences may include jumping the start, causing an avoidable accident, unfairly blocking another driver, impeding another driver when being lapped, speeding in the pit lane etc.
The two most common types are the drive-through penalty and the ten-second time penalty.
In extreme cases the stewards may choose to enforce a third type of penalty whereby they can force a driver to not participate in the qualifier at next Grand Prix. In that situation the driver will start from the back of the grid.

Driver allocations
All drivers must allocate for all races - this is not optional. Allocation will be opened until the day before the event. A PM to an admin will NOT be considered as an allocation change.
It is the team owner responsibility to assure all the team drivers allocate for all the races. If a team fails to allocate for an event the following administrative penalties will be applied:
-1st time official warning
-2nd time +10 sec added to the other team’s car for the event
-3rd time 3pts deduction from the teams’ championship.
Anyone with a "will participate" allocation who doesn't show, but is found to be participating in another event will be immediately expelled from the League without any recourse for appeal.
Expulsion from the League will result in possible exclusions from future Formula One events at RaceDepartment.

Racing Rules addendum
·First lap penalty: If a driver causes an incident on the first lap of the race resulting in a major damage to another car, he will start at the back of the grid at the next Grand Prix.
·Blue flag: the driver receiving the blue flag is responsible of moving out off the racing line and give way to the lapping car as early as possible. In most situations, the driver receiving the blue flag will be deemed at fault in case of an incident with a front runner unless the incident is caused by the lapping driver negligence.
·Making contact from behind: in most situations a driver causing an incident by making contact from behind will be found guilty and panelized (a blue flag situation is one of the exceptions)

Each team in Pacific is Allowed three drivers which is a little different to the other divisions.
It is up to the Team owner to make sure he has a replacement for any races that any of his drivers cannot compete in. Would be good to see teams utilizing the Reserve list drivers first in this case.

Ok. One last thing, can a team participate with only 2 drivers or is three necessary? ie. does a team with three drivers only enter 2 per race?

You can run with only two if you like but you will be handicapped against three driver teams - having said that I'm sure you boys will be near the pointy end though so it may not affect you so badly. There are some pretty good drivers on the reserve list though... May be worth having a third cog.
:)
