Practise Race Wednesday 7th August Monza

Henrik: i think it was you who lagged badly once in the opening laps. There were stationary car waiting for me at Lesmo1, gave just a little jolt of adrenaline i needed Brain said "ghost" but body still avoided the collision. If only i could drive like that every second.. Maybe i need to insert all kinds of obstacles to tracks to stay sharp

I was way off my offline pace this event. Consistently more than 1 second slower on all fuel levels and I just dont understand it. It was like the car was slower than it was offline so I was very frustrated all race. Im glad I finished instead of throwing my wheel out of the window

lol, I had the same thing happen to me - had a stationary car on the start/finish straight on 3rd lap. Then "boom" it was gone.

I have fibre 100Mbit each way - wonder what causes the lag.

Watched rest of race from Reiks perspective and saw a mega pass he made on Duco in Ascari - great racing Reik!

Thank you mate, but I was on very fresh tyres when Duco was on old ones I asume, so I knew he would have to brake earlier.

Sos I missed guys sounds like you had fun, I had to work late and could have just made race but the last time I did that I was extremely tired so gave it a miss.

I hit a red car (possibly a skin I did not have) from behind into the first turn lap 1, very sorry for that. It seemed that it had no consequences though, but I still feel ashamed

Besides that I did an OK race with a good fight with Kennett for the first 10 laps or so (was great to see you back in action mate), before he made a mistake before we could really battle it out

Later I think it was Duco who did the same. Besides these 2 battles I did my race quite alone.

I to noticed that there were cars that did not stay on the left side on the s/f, but I was not surprised as we have a couple of new guys who wouldn't know either way. but for the league race we should make sure everybody are on the same page.

My car was most likely the red one (uploadin skin atm), it was a chain of small bumbs. Guy in front of me had to panic, bumbed, i bumbed him, Nico bumbed me.. But no was hurt

I noticed that most took the "F1" line in the last turn, going by the left all the way. These cars are not so quick so we can use a bit shorter route that. But i made sure that i was in the left side before the grid marks begin. There nothing to gain in race by sticking to right side until braking, in qualy you win few meters at best on one lap (requiring you start the lap from the left side and finishing on the right)

Please let it be Spa2008 even with missing rain reflections it's a lot more accurate and has the proper last chicane.

I agree we should use Spa2008. Didn't expect that clarification on this matter would be required as we used it in previous events too and it always worked well.

Bumbed: noun. made from cardboard and packing material,bumbed is mainly used by homeless and drunken friends when regular bed is not possible to obtain.

I've just opened the Spa servers. Do we want a practice race at some stage or does that take away the fun from the real one? Possibly a different format race, like 2x10 laps?

Same here - I really need to practice pit stops before the race.

For me, practice races are a must. Does just add to the experience, does not take anythin away from it.
