The Nurburgring-Nordschleife. The greatest track of all time, challenging drivers for over 60 years and now challenging you in Assetto Corsa.

The Nurburging-Nordschleife will be an official addition to Assetto Corsa, which is being heralded as one of the most appreciated racing simulations of 2013. We will be bringing you the most faithful virtual representation of the track ever to be released, based on our laser scanning technology.

This license underpins the ambition of the Assetto Corsa team and we will be shortly beholding a survey to gather your thoughts with a view to releasing the track in September 2014.

We want to go further however! We are developing a ‘Dream Pack DLC’ featuring not only the Nordschleife, but 10 cars, chosen by you, the community, to be included in the pack. So take your pick, Alfa Romeo? Nissan? McLaren and much more.

Shortly, we will be opening our 1 month pre-order phase, providing you with a 50% saving on the final package – that’s right, 10 cars and the Nordschleife.

To stay in touch with our news on when the pre-order will start, keep cheking on our website, follow us on www.facebook.com/assetto.corsa and on www.twitter.com/@ac_assettocorsa or simply check the ingame news!

We hope that with this announcement you will have an even Happier New Year.

Matej,

As far as I know, no other sim/game has a laser scanned version though, this is why it is big news.

Nor forgetting it will be coming as part of a pack, with 10 community chosen cars, so the announcement wasn't just the track but a 10 car pack too.

I have to admit, I don't need a change of pants like some folks and whether it really needed the big Facebook countdown, I'm not really sure, but that aside, as far as the sim itself goes this is great news.

:D

That's nice to have a discount in the DLC, but pre-ordering a DLC doesn't make much sense to me.
Pre-ordering may give you the chance to get the DLC discounted as once it is officially released it will probably be full price for those who didn't pre-order.

Like Kunos did with the sim itself, get it as early access and get discount or wait until v1.0 full release and pay full price.

They are selling preorder for 50% off... well... Now AC price on steam is -10% (so that's -32% for early access), so... Maybe we should wait few months and get DLC for -75%? Or -85%? :p

Nord made from laserscan would be a big thing, but I have to admit that I'm more interested in those 10 cars... and it also depends on the price of the DLC.

Whatever, good to see that KS are still ambitious and are aiming high :)
