Reveal number four from the upcoming Ready to Race DLC for Assetto Corsa - presenting something slightly different in the form of the Toyota Celica ST185 WRC contender.

We fans are by now well aware that the next car pack from Kunos Simulazioni will be the 10 car strong 'Ready to Race' DLC, designed specifically for fans of racing vehicles and containing a nice mix of modern and historic machinery.

One of the more surprising inclusions into the pack comes in the form of the hugely successful WRC specification Toyota Celica ST185 featured in this article. With Assetto Corsa not particularly known for its loose surface simulation prowess, it is perhaps a little surprising to some to see such an iconic World Rally Championship car finding its way into the game as official paid content. Of course we had the venerable Audi Quattro as free content a few weeks ago, and many at the time thought that would be the beginning of the end for studio released rally spec cars.... not so according to Kunos.

With killer good looks and one of the best paint jobs in motorsport, the Celica could well be a real treat to behold once the 'Ready to Race' DLC pack goes live on Thursday.

Alongside the images revealed by Kunos today, the Italians are keeping up the tradition of writing a few short words about the car, which can be read below:

The Toyota Celica ST185 is Toyota's most successful rally car, winning the WRC Driver's Championship in 1992, and the WRC Manufacturer's and Driver's Championships in both 1993 and 1994.

In order to meet the Group A competition's homologation requirements, 5,000 GT-Four RC production versions of the Celica were manufactured, starting from September 1989.

The Toyota Celica ST185 made its debut at the Monte Carlo Rally, the opening round of the 1992 World Rally Championship series, but it wasn't until mid-season did it then become successful

Ready to Race DLC Contents:
  • Audi R8 LMS 2016
  • Audi R18 e-tron Quattro
  • Audi TT Cup 2016
  • Audi TT RS (VLN)
  • Lotus 3-Eleven
  • Maserati MC12 GT1
  • McLaren 570S
  • McLaren P1 GTR
  • Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo
  • Toyota TS040 Hybrid

Alongside the new DLC pack will come the version 1.14 game update which looks set to contain a number of new and improved features. As a little teaser Kunos have revealed some of the following changes will be included in the new build release:
  • Added wind algorithm
  • Added AI Aggression selection
  • More AI differences within a single lap to generate more battles
  • Added AI wing setup variations
  • New AI algorithms for understeer detection and downshifting
  • Improved Downshift Protection
  • Updated Steam statistic reader to synchronize steam achievement

Assetto Corsa is a racing simulation designed by Kunos Simulazioni and is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The 'Ready to Race' DLC is scheduled to launch on Thursday 18th May.

since v10 tyres the ferrari was changed , and audi became fastest and it is because it never stalls unlike others.
The AMG doesn't suck, what probably suck is the setup people run
You could be right and people just don't use the Audi because it was a lame duck before. I tested it around Nordschleife and was 6 sec. faster and as fast as with Ferrari before TM10, but I thought i maybe just got better:D
This are some very fast qualifying times i saw a week ago in a video for a Monza-race and they have good setups it seems. The fastest Audi was on 12 and only one AMG on 18.

Stop being so cocky. Driving a car which looks like a bad replica is not what he, I, or people like A3DR want to pay money for. Most mod cars for AC have better proportions than this, it's nothing we as the community should accept.
Far away from cocky. Maybe I'm to moderate but this is not the end of the world for me or the world biggest problem.
And its one of ten cars you'll able to get tomorrow. Maybe you can enjoy the others.
Just buy the RTR pack or not.
Life can be so easy

you can do 46 laptimes at monza with Audi, lambo or mercedes, probably mclaren too, so those laptimes aren't very fast, unless they reduced the road grip a lot.
In our league pole was a 47.0 at 98% grip and it was an audi
The fastest lap in a McLaren 650S around Monza on RSR is a 1:47,1 (35 laps trying), so 10 people between 1:47,8 to 1:48,7 is a very close call with just a few laps and 30°C isn´t the optimal temp even with full grip. And the pattern seems like always very similar when i´m driving on GT3-servers. AMG never wins, that´s for certain.

Agreed, the differences are fairly subtle and most people wouldn't notice them if the forums hadn't pointed them out. And you likely wouldn't notice any of them when driving. Kinda funny how sim racers will say physics > graphics out of one side of their mouth and then from the other side of their mouth say slight graphical discrepancies make a car undriveable. :whistling:

go ASK PHILS to do a proper qualy run at monza with the amg and you'lls ee what the amg can do

I know from all my experience making stuff , cars bla bla ,
Loads of stuff is slightly different ,
So if WRC is anything like F1 ,
I can forgive some variation , and you know what its like on the forums everyone comparing a car that was created over 4 years to one single picture ,
Some cars have different spec ,
For example the MK4 Ford Escort , was made from 87 on a D reg , To 90 on a H plate ,
was called the 90 Spec car ,
Had different interior , different spoiler , different bumpers , Wheels ,
But the chassis remained exactly the same ,
Loads of cars are this way ,

What is wrong straight away though is the rear window black around it ,
Thats there on all pictures from 89-93 I just looked at anyways :)

Looks like a road car to me ,
WRC Have detatchable front clips for quick mending ,
The Kunos car as a solid floor pan , No seam at the wing at all ,
Just like a road car ,
Also side repeaters , Also like the road car :)
Hope they update it ..

Add headlights size, front blinkers adjustment, air ducts like you pointed there, rear tailights doesn't matter which version is are just off, not the correct shape mostly around the corners.
Rear window shape is just wrong where it meets the roof, apart from missing the black reflective frame.
The small side window / C pillar could use some adjustment too.

If we can spot all these issues, shouldn't be so hard for whoever did it to fix them.
