Hockenheim Short not counting laps

As the title says no matter what happens neither me or ai can complete a lap as the counter just keeps going. As we go into the final turn for the lap everyone seems to be counted as last until we cross the line up until turn 3 where it fixes itself down the straight. I cant seem to find anybody talking about this or having this issue

Are you running Steam GTR2.exe? This is one of the two tracks I know that work differently between DVD and Steam .exe, on Steam .exe this problem happens. Those two game versions have significant differences internally, and apparently short version was not tested. Perhaps there's alternative short version you could use? Esport-racing.de has multiple versions available.

Looks like there's a fix over here:

Fix for Hockenheim Short (GTR 2 Steam)

Apparently the issue has to do with the xsector GMTs. Those I modified with 3d SimEd work, original ones I extracted from the GTR2 won't. The original GMTs are identical between Retail and Steam versions. Why they don't work on Steam is still not clear to me. This is the package with the fix...
