Plus,
- increased resistance to damages to prevent AI to pit in for small aero damages
- increased driver seat position range (use LEFT or RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON then drag mouse to adjust view)
- removed bump maps from Morgan/ViperCC/350Z cockpits because of cartoon/plastic effect
- removed spa invisible wall in pits
- updated Enna tyres stack with moving ones
- updated 996CUP #123/124 ugly safety net with nicer one from ViperCC
- updated 996 RS with 3 styles : Motec+H gearbox / Motec+Seq gearbox / Stack+H gearbox
- updated all MoTeC/Pi/Stack fonts, display and cube maps, added red zone to Stack and added rev limit to MoTeC
- added 996 GT3 R versions
- added missing brakes/tyres temperatures motec line : now available in ALL cars (cycles show lap time, oil/water/tyres/brakes temperatures)
- added specific Ferrari/Porsche brakes
- added missing #109 Porsche GT3 CUP from 24h Spa 2003 event
- added laptimer to all cars with flags/pit icons
- added missing safety net in #108 C5R cockpit
- added wipers and dirt/rain effects on side windows
- fixed many black polygons on some cars
and many more (as CocaCola I will not give my detailed recipe because of people copying my work but you must know that there are more than 300 patches) during 7 long years of work on this project...

today I have fixed 2 annoying bugs at Enna track : in original GTR2 you have a big black terrain bug ans lot of trees flickering, in PnG3 mod they added a black terrain fix but it showed a zebra lines bug all over terrain and still lot of trees flickering, so today I have fixed all these bugs exclusively for hq version v16.0 available on september 10 next week :)

today I have fixed Monza Jr. track : at first corner AI often try to overtake in narrow space...and hit the wall so I have pushed this wall few meters away and no more crash for HQ track version :)

All in all v16.0 will be a major update as I have added more than 100 patches during the last 9 months since v15.9 for the next 16th Anniversary Patch on september 10...

Fantastic work! I haven't played GTR2 in years but hopefully someday I'll find the time to invest in it, with proper hardware.

On the subject of Monza Jr., not sure if you've fixed this already; the original Monza Jr. does not have any light poles around the track, those that are active at night, on the full Monza track. Lights do exist actually, but the poles 3d models are missing from the Jr. version.

yes it is fixed for 16th Anniversary Patch along with tons of other bugs : when I read people (especially on steam forum) saying they prefer original GTR2 and spitting on my anniversay Patch claiming it is useless...well they make me laugh if they like playing a game full of bugs, it is been 7 years now that I fix at least a bug per week and sometimes up to 5 in a day, I stopped to count when I passed 300 bugs fixed.

After a test yesterday with new 7zip multi parts archives support, I have uploaded real part 3 this morning but I do not have time to upload the 2 other parts right now so you will have to wait the 001/002 parts to extract the full archive of 16th Anniversary Patch, be patient...

There is a way to rename GTR2.EXE to sudo.exe for steam playtime/overlay.
But when i do this i cant run the game.
I installed crewchief plugin, and it gets me this error:

I don't use any nocd file.
without d3d9.dll and renaming plugins folder game runs fine but with lower graphics.

How should i use crewchief with GTR2 and have steam overlay?

that is not supported by the CC plugin. It has to be Steam GTR2.exe, preferably copied out of Steam installation folder (running game from under Program Files could cause various permission related problems). One thing that will get broken by renaming to sudo is CC application, and I think SimHub/SimTools won't work either.

BTW, in case you did not know - you don't even need Steam running to run GTR2 (unless you run VR). So just copy game out and run it like in the old days :)

Today I have fixed another 16 years old bug : the flickering windows on Enna main pit building.

I have also removed the central cockpit mirror in mosler mt900R because there is only one in mt900 road car and not in mt900R race variant. SimBin did not add central mirror in mosler external view which was right... so why did they add one in cockpit view ???

Finally I reworked wiper animation for mosler as my previous version was deformed : now it looks correct.

These new updates and many others should be available next week end in big 16.1 Anniversary Patch...

After hq wipers, hq dirtscreen, hq dynamic clouds... GTR2 realism will reach the next level with my brand new dynamic body dirt for the first time in gtr2 : how many sims have this feature today ?
I have made 7 layers of dirt so max dirt effect is reached after 8 laps.
I have made only the bmw m3 GTR at the moment as proof of concept so it needs lot of 3d work to make all other hq cars...for this reason hq anniversary patch 16.1 release is delayed till I have finished to add this exclusive feature.

Wow, this is amazing! I thought it is impossible to add dirt buildup in GTR2
 
HQ 2005 mod will also have body dirt feature like monaro here in screenshot :)

I work also on an high-end experimental feature, it is WIP only at the moment as it will need a RTX graphic card and it also depends on how @The Iron Wolf can implement it in CC... or not (it is a feature only possible with crewchief) : guess what is it on m3 pic :D
