This is an Endurance event :
Qualification start time:
GMT 20:00 ( 30 min )
Race start time: GMT 20:30 (36 Laps Approx. 80 min)

Important Please Read

For this event we are using a modified version of the original Mercedes 300 SEL 6.8L mod made by DonPanoz. Permission was granted by DonPanoz to Yves Larose to make the modifications to the mod and use it for the event. The modifications are the following:

- Tyre wear has been modified to suit the new fuel tank capacity and fuel consumption.
- The fuel tank has been reduced to 75 Ltr compared to the 140 Ltr of the original mod.
- The fuel consumption has been made higher than the original mod.
- Liveries have been added and/or deleted.

Note 1: Tyre and fuel will be set at normal
Note 2: Only the skins that come with the mod please. The first 22 signups have to pick a different livery, after that the next 22 sign up follow the same rule. See liveries choice pic below, just indicate the livery number (orange number) you want to use with your sign up.

Note 3: Unpack simply extract the GameData folder to the main GTL folder and let it overwrite if asked. If you already have the mod installed it is recommended that you move it to a temporary location before installing the new one. It is also recommended that after the event you replace the modified version of the mod with the original one to avoid any conflict in further events that use it.
Note 4: We are using the SIMBIN lobby for this event. See here how to switch lobby.
Note 5: Qualy is an unlimited laps within the qualifying period.
Note 6: Racing Room must be given to all drivers and this works both ways. Divebombing into and across a corner denies people the chance to make the corner correctly just as much as someone obliviously (or deliberately) cutting the nose off of another driver who has achieved partial overlap fairly.
Note 7: The track boundary is the white lines and 2 wheels must remain between them at all times even on the oval part of the track the wall to the right is not the track boundary. the first oval part is between turn 5 and turn 6 and the second oval part is between turn 14 and turn 1 ( see track map below)

Looks like #4 is still available, sign me up please...
Thanks

ps. somewhere in the distant past I have a memory of the "pit in request" button being operational, but now it seems one just drives into the pit ( giving the " pitting" pre-select for online events) and then the pit board appears for manual selection of applicable items, correct?.

Philip, The "Pit in Request Button" doesn't work in GTL (never has), it's basically as you have desribed. However, in case you haven't seen this before, here are the needed pitstop hints:

will check it now Phil and report back ASAP

Damn i must of checked every car but that one, i must of missed it ...:redface:
i have same problem phil..
leave it with us we will try to sort it out
you learn something every day, just checking offline is not good enough, need to check all online as well

thanks for the heads up:thumbsup:

Well it looks like we might of found the error, and we are now working on the fix,
But this doesn't leave much time for testing the fix and getting the server up for you guys to test online.

So after a little chat with Yves we are looking to postpone the event until the Sunday 17th.
this will give us all extra time for testing online with an official test night.
I cannot apologize enough for this, but i think it will work better after the slight delay rather than a last minute rush:)

I will also say sorry now to any guys that can't make the new date:(

Hello
Where do i have to install the downloads hm cant find a folder to unpack them. i have GTL thru steam

Default path of your Steam install is:
C: Program files/ Steam/ Steam Apps/ Common/ GTL

In there you will find Game data folder containing locations etc.

Because different modders sometimes use different file structures its best to unzip mods to a folder on your desktop then copy and paste across into your steam install once your sure of where it needs to go. For example some modders will pack say tracks in Game Data/ locations/'trackname'. Others might just give a trackname folder- unpack the first direct to your GTL folder and its all fine - The second type your going to end up with the track in GTL when it needs to be in GTL/ Game Data/ Locations so it wont work. Using a desktop folder then copy and paste means you become more familiar with folder layout and should be able to work our what to remove if your unlucky enough to get an incompatible mod (some mods can conflict with each other). If you need help always ask, no ones judging someone who doesn't get it straight away..
