That was fun!
I crashed out around the half way mark... Kinda ruined my tires trying to pass Colin, who was defending extremely well, couldn't find a way past him. Eventually my rear tires overheated and I spun out. Managed to catch back up to Brian again and then I managed to loose the rear end in the final corner. Honestly I should have pitted that lap but figured I could do it after I had overtaken Brian...
At this point I was knackered, half an hour of pushing had me sweating though I enjoyed tremendously! Well done everyone, I hope the rest of the race was just as enjoyable for you all!

My debut with the Nissan went very well with 2nd in qually and race.
In the first stint I could stay within about 1,5 seconds or the very experience GT-R specialist @Kek700 and I could hope that it would make him nervous and let him make a mistake.
But in the outlap after the pitstop I went off myself in the right handler after the long straight. I think the tyres were not ready yet for my approach there.
After that the gap was 10 seconds and I focused of staying ahead of Thomas.
Very happy now because it looks like the Nissan matches my driving style. Looking forward to next week event!

Nice race that. Some good battles with @Casper de Wit and a classic gt-r vs. ferrari war with @JamKart22.
Track has a nice flow to it in these cars once you get the hang of it, which I barely did. I think it's probably the most technically challenging track I've raced in GT3. I was using my screen again so maybe that's part of it. The learning curve would have been less steep in VR i would say.
The references points for the late turn ins on the trackside are very limited.
Hopefully it getd updated to 1.0 soon, as the trackside buildings and features are in the plans for it.
I was worried the looping corners into hairpins wouldn't suit the gt3 cars but there is correct lines and setup for them out there somewhere!

Good race thanks Brian. Bad start, dropped a position, fought a bit with Thomas, he made an error got back into 3rd, had an off track and dropped to 5th. Once back in 4th I started to close a couple of times but span twice putting a wheel on the grass at Hook. Big gap behind me so just meant while I could no longer try and chase Thomas but could safely keep 4th.

It's always worth entering these races just to pick up these little sort of race management experiences.
It's why I always say just jump in and get to the half way stops at least. There is always something to be learned.

Good race today. Qualified 5th and finished 5th.
Had to hold off Tim when he went off and I got past. After that I just had to stay on focus.
A fun track that you cannot relax on for long.

Thanks guys for racing and organizing. Had a good start and could follow Han at about the same pace. Made some errors which led to some good fun laps with Tim. After bein back behind Han I made a stupid mistake and spun which cost me about another ten seconds. After that unfortunately race was lonely. It's a shame because I think it could have been a good fight with Han.
Podium is ok but the mistakes were not. Cu guys next timeand congrats to Ernie and Han.

Q7 R6 had a fun time holding of Casper and Brian for a least half of the race. Brian eventually finding a way pass - only to go off shortly after and kindly give me the place back.
I might not of been the quickest by a long way but I was fairly consistent and kept it on the grey stuff for the whole race.

Very un-nerving race, too many GTR,s, normally when I race Han, as I pretty much race most of the GT3 cars here I know their strengths and weaknesses.
So what normally happens, especially with Han, I cannot match the mid corner grip of the Ferrari so I expect to loose ground. But I have a more secure car on its softs and on the straights I can see the tenths start to jog down depending how long the straights are.
This time I just had to spend lap after lap staring at that bleeding Godzilla front grill, static in my mirror.
Knowing although I had no weaknesses I had no strengths to fall back on either.
The only thing was that overtaking here is as near to impossible as it can be, mainly due to the car covering the corners before the straights so the quicker car cannot get a sling shot and overtake on the next straight.
This is the only circuit for me we’re qualifying is important, so that was fun for me too.
So I knocked off the laps, comfortably knowing no mistakes made it very difficult for Han to overtake.
Great race for me, and thank-you to everyone for making the race interesting and event free.

I see it's Road Atlanta next week so will most certainly be there for that.

Yep, I was quite tired as well from work that day so I was going in without any expectations and just to enjoy myself and hopefully learn a little about the car!
And I did, or so I'd like to think. Road Atlanta next week which is one of my favourite tracks so I am looking forward to that. Unfortunately I have night shift so I doubt I will be able to join but perhaps it'll get cancelled.
Although my performance was terrible, that was an enjoyable race. Although i was alone most of the time, the track is tricky and its easy to loose control of the car, which i did a few times.
I didnt have much time to practice this week and had never seen calabogie before. I memorized the track from looking at the map and watching the aerial and onboard hotlap videos. It wasnt until later in the week that i was able to sit and practice. It was interesting to learn a track by watching videos on my lunchbreak.
The really cool thing about this race was how many people were in the gtr, which is the car that ive raced with the most, and how much better other people drove the car.
While im sure its down to practice and techneque, i find the gtr can be hard to drive before tinkering with the setup to remove some of the understeer. Im still learning how to play with setups, and im starting to understand the basics.
Im curious, can one of the faster gtr drivers post your setup for this track? I want to compare my setup with a better, more experienced driver.
I will also be carefully watching the replay to try and find ways to drive better. Im pretty sure im not carring enough speed through corners and relying on the nissans power to get back the lost speed. Probably not the best way to go.
