Just so you know, you will not get permission to change anything on my Toyota Celica GTO 1987 for AMS or rFactor.
Do you see it any where uploaded, NO, so what's your problem.

I also have no intentions and these changes were and are for my own personal use!

Seem to have issues. Installed the GSC mod, followed instructions, then installed update, but when I click on series, no cars show up for me to drive, only the pace car.

Any idea on what the issue could be?

AI continues to have problems in standing starts. When the red light goes out, they accelerate very slowly.
Only tweaked their on track behavior, would have to see what can be done.

Hopefully someone reading this can help as I don't actually know what needs to be changed to fix.

Fantastic! You are finding a solution to all the small bugs that this wonderful mod has!

Yesterday I had problems with the 997 at Silverstone (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/silverstone-2-seasons-drs.11031/), the AI was losing control and spinning all the time. Instead the AI-controlled F430s worked fine.

Later I will test all your changes. Thank you very much!!!

I've managed to fix all bugs thanks to you guys.

@THYR308 fixes definitely solves the problem with the standing starts and their on track behavior.

I'm no expert as to what mass. these cars have but have left them as is.

The mod was designed to be very competitive, class against class.
When you adjust as per suggestion then Ferrari always takes the Porsche easily.
Leaving it as is and having done several short races at Hockenheim, Montreal and Silverstone the cars were always at each other on average,

As for setting rpm revs lower for both cars, this I also left as per default because to me they sounded like underperformed GT2 cars.

Busy uploading all fixes now, including sound fixes.

If you have changed any of my files I would recommend a clean install.

Start and on track AI is fixed in this update thanks to THYR308.

The mass is standard as per original mod to keep cars very competitive against each other.

Lowering rpm also reduces engine sounds and performance or it just sounds like the cars are under performing. You want these cars to sound the part.

I'm not sure how accurate the data is but do know that these cars or this mod is a must have. It's Porsche vs Ferrari and that's the feel you get from it.

I like the differences in physics, handling, overall this mod, even stock is already very good in my opinion.

This last update fixes small error (my fault with sfx file) or bugs that we have had without losing all the good things, overall feel and sounds.

Clean install is recommended, thanks for the feedback and comments, much appreciated.
 
Fanstastic update - the cars are great, they drive in accordance with the other cars now, the A.I drive really well throughout a 20 lap race; i think consistency is ok mid- back field but i'd need to race some more.

One of the porsches crashed out on lap 1 turn 2 of Adelaide historic, was great watching the other cars adapt and avoid the spun car, i hit him head on, naturally....

As i love multiclass racing, and coordinating championhips and altering any variables availble to create great races and moments. and finding groups of tracks that really challenge the cars, i put the porsche against an assortment of other porsche cars from the game and other mods (6 classes in total), and ran a few races ....just had an hour (or 3??) of racing greatness!! Where did time go??

Must have been 3 hours, everyone else is alseep....round 3-4 here we go.....

I made a little update for the Ferrari.
I uploaded it, you may try it. (=> downloads)

ClimaxF1, if you think it's interesting, maybe you may add it to a new release.

Sounds were not as good as Porsche.

Changed :
- starter sound (from real 430 Challenge)
- idle power (louder at low rpm)
- levels and rpm adjusted
- other skid sounds
Added :
- toggle limiter
- TC limiter

Updated engine file.
Added realistic torque curve between 7000 and 8000 rmp.
Previous one did not have datas after 7100, because Challenge high rmp torque (max power 8200) were not ok for GTC (max power 7000).

Changed defaut steering rotation, 720°/30° (28/33)

Lines (oblique and horizontal) appear on the windshield of the 997, similar to a polygonal mesh.

It only happens in Silverstone (both in Patrick's version and in the ClimaxF1 update). Lines appear and disappear, but always at the same points on the circuit.
