All, you can leave your Feedback / Suggestions / Proposals for the Historic racing Club in here.

The only provisos that I have are the following:-
  1. Please have a glance back through the thread once it grows a little, to see if your suggestion/question etc has already been answered. For example, I've said a few times now that I won't be running F1 mods, so don't keep asking or suggesting that.
  2. Don't expect that, just because you propose something, it will be implemented, immediately or otherwise. We will have to do our research.
  3. Don't just spam full a load of mods that meet the car age criteria - we have limited time slots, so we cannot do everything. See the comment re: research above - we will NOT be taking anyone's word for anything - we will try things out ourselves.
  4. Let's keep it civil - you may not agree with someone's suggestion, but that doesn't mean you can just pour scorn on them or their suggestion.
I look forward to reading what you have to say...

I have posted up why I got banned post #39

Well no much to add tbo some staff must feel not the same as others I know myself as I have said made it so that all could get things but hay you run things as you wish thats your stand point on it then thats fine aswell each have there ways of doing things you have yours and I have mine. As I have said I was not having a go I just wanted to put my point in that has been done now and you have had your say. I am happy this matter has now been done with and I will move on with it. I will race in the stuff I can. And stuff that is on nogrip never mind got plenty of other stuff to do so no big deal. I have the league and that will do.

Wayne, if your account got hacked I feel for you. A mate of mine lost his Steam account that way. But couldn't you create a new account with a different email address? Or did they ban your ip? If they banned your ip address, couldn't you ask your ISP to change it?

Please don't think I'm getting at you mate, just trying to think of ways to help, though you have probably already tried these.

May I suggest(because this is a sort of suggestion-thread, right? ;) ) some races with the DRM Revival Mod for rFactor? I'm a huge sucker for historic/classic races but I dont own neither GTL or GTR-2.

I've driven the DRM mod almost every night for the last week at an public server, and the cars are highly balanced as long as the tracks are in different style. The BMW M1 is awesome around Spa 67 but the Lanica isnt, however the M1 will be blown away by the Lancia on a track like Brands Hatch. The BMW 320 is more or less like the Lancia, the Porsche 935 is a bit like the M1 with better handling but hampered by a 4-speed gearbox and the Ford Capri is somewhere in the middle of the 5 cars available.

Hi Tim I did try that mate I have even sent the admins a email asking for them to sort this out and I did not even get a email back. I tryed the ip thing was ok for 2 days then it said no resporning and now it says banned lifted never.

It really peed me off I did nothing wrong and I lost a site I was a big part of It was nogrip i joined when I found sim racing and loved the feed back I got with my skins and stuff. They just don't seem to give a toss Its a pitty they sold it because the new owner is never around to talk with.

Don't know maybe its me I seem to have a way of getting on the wrong side of sites I seem to do that a lot these days I keep changing then I seem to slip back to my old way and word things wrong And the why I want it to sound never seems to come out right. I peed stu of with all this nogrip poo and I do not like to do that stu helped me with many things as a member and staff and then I do this poo.

First things first - don't worry about it too much.

As I said though, just ask ahead of the event and we (the Historic Club community) will sort something out for you - we always have in the past.

I'm not saying we won't help out - far from it - I just think that the proposed solution was passing an unfair burden onto the Staff. If you at least meet us halfway, we'll get you up and running in events.

Yeah, I tried it out last night. It seems to me that there are too many changeable parameters on the car (you can change downforce settings...) so the physics definitely need an update. However it drives very well... quite a challenge in and of itself.

I could see it doing very well in the HRC, if it ever ended up on the lineup. :good:

Yeah, my friends and I have been driving that mod for a few days now. Did some laps on various tracks. The setup is too adjustable to the point of it crashing your client and server.

Anyway, until that mod is fixed, can I suggest a car and track combo?

Car - Lotus 23B - Really stable, not too fast, not a slouch either. Promotes bumper to bumper racing. Great FFB. Minor setup changes available. I would LOVE to see this car in small series. http://www.mediafire.com/?9vvwmph69zgfbvl

Track - Anything really.

Let me know if you want to test. I will throw up a server drive with you.
