As promised, we throw it back a few decades to the glory days of Ground Effect. Absolute grip monsters that required precision and a heck of a lot of trust in the seals around the sidepods gluing you to the tarmac at speed. The racing was epic, and has proved to be here on Race Department too! We head to Mosport Park, a crazy high-speed circuit with plenty of hills and bumps to deal with. How will you fare around this tarmac Roller-coaster?

Eligibility: You must be a PREMIUM member. You must also use your REAL NAME on all RD servers and Discord, and include this in your forum profile. It is the only way of identifying who you are during an event.

CAR LIST
As a bit of a different race, there are lots of different cars with different performances. As such, let's have an eclectic grid where you all choose your car. Please choose one of the cars which has not been chosen.
These cars have different physics and overall speeds. Feel free to test them beforehand before making your choice. I am listing the cars in the 1979 Constructors Championship finishing order to give you an idea of the pace they had. If you are a "faster" driver, please may you choose one of the "slower" cars, as a way of balancing the field a bit.

So that's 8pm BST for the start of practice and it's 80 mins? That's kinda long and kinda late....
Nope, 7pm BST, can you tell I copied the post from a race held in winter :O_o: time zone changed in the first post.

The 80 minutes is only there because we used to write just about 20 minutes for practice, but half the server would be on for an hour beforehand anyway. Writing like this we can give everyone the chance to know that it's an option to get those extra laps in early.

That's cool - GMT wrecks my head as we use it some of the year and change to summer IST/BST some of the year. I always use UTC so there's no confusion.
