Codemasters have revealed the full car list set to feature in DiRT Rally 2.0 when it releases this February.

The full 50 strong list of vehicles for DR2.0 contain some very impressive manufacturers indeed, featuring a nice mix of historic and modern machines alongside of course the official 2018 FIA World Rallycross category within the game - no less than 12 different Rallycross cars across multiple classes of the series will be present in the title at launch.

As well as the full car list confirmation below, players purchasing the Deluxe Edition or the Day One Edition will also receive the Porsche 911 RGT, with the car then becoming a separate DLC 60 days after the game launches. Furthermore, Codemasters have confirmed additional "seasonal" content will be added to the sim at a later date.

Good list. But if it drives like Dirt 4, it's just a waste.

It doesn't drive like D4.

If you're mainly interested in tarmac and are expecting AC physics, you might think again. If youre interested in the loose stuff and liked Dirt Rally, then it's actually an improvement. It drives brilliantly! The R5 cars on a flowing NZ road is really really good.

Dont take my word for it. Test it out, refund if needed.

Not expecting this to be ultra-realistic, there is other sims for that, what I am hoping for is fun, more relaxed game instead sim like pretty much all Codemasters latest games. For me at least there is place for games like that and they are doing so much better job at that compared to likes of Forza and GT.

The absence of Kit Cars and early '00s "2000cc 4WD" cars has particularly diminished my personal expectations for the game, as I loved them to bits in DR1 (and the Kit Cars were easily the most tolerable cars for me in the letdown that was DiRT 4 too). Whilst not my own cup of tea I expect the Group B RWD cars to be sorely missed as well.

If they turn up as paid DLC then that's also a bit naff, to put it mildly.

Without the news or olds WRC, the game remains incomplete. The series of Ford MK, stratos, alpine, 205 T16 ... etc. We already know the soup, so it is very little novelty compared to the first DIRT which is excellent. I will pass my turn on the v2, it will be surely without me.

Really disappointed NOT to see New Citroën, Hyundai, Ford and Toyota in the list, but its fine for me, I lost my PC a year ago  hope to play in the future and hope they'll add those cars in the future.

@RufGTI And your point being? I was asking why are people *expecting* WRC cars in a game without a WRC license (since there are several responses of people being visibly surprised the WRC cars are not included, while it should really be a surprise to no-one). I didn't say it can never happen under any circumstances.

BTW, I don't want to spend time verifying every single instance you gave as an example here, but just by some quick searching, it seems the Citroen in The Crew 2 is actually a rallycross car, not a rally car, and V-Rally 4 seems to also avoid any mentions of WRC with the cars they have. So it kinda seems like grey territory at best.

I don't think that the WRC sees single cars in games like The Crew or Forza as something that potentially might harm the numbers of their own game, as opposed to something like Dirt Rally 2.0 that can be seen as a pure competitor on the market.
When it comes to V-rally 4 it is not the new generation WRC's and its developed by the same studio as the WRC8 and WRC9. It was also released during a window where they obviously knew they wouldn't have a WRC game out on the market.

Just my two cents.

Maybe because it's a Rally game. They dont have to be named Impreza WRC etc, easy ways around things like that.
