Just a thought. RD do a great job with the current mods and some of you guys run in F1, V8’s, Saloons and Porches which is admirable.
Personally I find all my Rfactor time is best spent learning the next F1 track and getting a decent setup for the car. Without these ingredients the whole event wouldn’t be as enjoyable.
However, I see there was an old thread about Rfactor Banger racing, which presumably would mean learning the track and the setup wouldn’t be as crucial, knocking someone off would be a challenge rather than an offence and it would be a blast for an hour or so on a night when there is no regular racing and people could just jump in cold if they felt inclined.
So my question is, would there be a demand for a Tuesday night banger race, with a format of no qualification, just a random grid, 10 minute warm up, and two 10 minute races, and also would this be easy for RD to setup and run?

I just counted. not including what came with game i have 52 mods and at least ten don't work. I've got tracks that don't load as well. I will eventually figure it out ,I hope. I'm into my Race 07 more at the moment so i will take my time do re-install properly. So what i'll do next is install mods that i will use (15 to 20 max). WTM,V8 Factor, FVR V8, DTM 2002 ,McLaren F1 Cup, Indy Car 98 and 2010 and DRM are the for sure's. Oh and the NZ Banger mod.

And i would agree with Marcus that some sort of damage should apply so as the car gets more hits it becomes harder to drive.

I notice GBsimracing are currently running a server with a UK Bangers mod but I cant seem to find the mod anywhere to try.

We do race bangers aswell at simstox and have a new banger mod wip.

Just had an AI race at ORR Mayhem with the ORR2 trucks and it was a blast! The good thing about these trucks is that we can use dirt tracks.

The old mk2 (is it?) Escort with bits removed and/or altered to look like stripped bangers.

Mind you, with all the changes, you might as well build a model from scratch lol

Ok, so i was up until nearly 4am last night (which is technically today) converting the Detroit Destruction Derby track from Grid into rFactor.

I know its frowned upon blah blah, but its a fun track for some smashing action. So even if i cant upload it to RD, i`ll have fun smashing some AI

I think that kind of track will work well depending on what kind of banger racing you were thinking of. I had the DD kind in mind rather than the F1/F2 stockcars or migdets. But hey ho.

I made a few DDerby bowls a year or two ago, but lost them in a HDD fail. They were remakes from the old PSX game

I'm planning on doing a dirt version soon, so we can run the ORR2 trucks.
If we do run the ORR2 mod, another good track is the Lienz Rally Hillclimb all-gravel addon by Mudsnow.
