I think the point is, Omer, that it's no coincidence that England gave their best performance so far in what was effectively a knockout game. Now that every game is a knockout, England (as will a lot of the "bigger" nations who haven't impressed so far I suspect - I'm looking at you, Spain) will play more freely, and actually go after each other, rather than staying compressed and hoping a draw might be good enough.

Rooney doesn't annoy me as much as the anonymity of Lumpard over those first 3 matches. A 50% Rooney will cause more damage than a 50% Lumpard.

England were hopeless, as they have been all tournament. They don't deserve 10% of the hype they got, Rooney was woeful and to be fair Germany were made to look like footballing gods. Lampard's goal was 1966 in reverse, except 4 times less important. When you let in 4 goals and your keeper is your best player, that really says something.

I'm shocked how BAD were the referees today, awful. Two cruicial mistakes, no less no more.

I'm still in a bad mood because Serbia was a way better team against Australia, but simply our players does not have final touch in front of goal. So many good chances are wasted.
But again only Serbia beated Germany in WC so far, hehe.
