TT Isle of Man - Ride on The Edge 3 Reveals First Gameplay

One of the best-ever motorcycle racing games is coming back soon! Check out this first bit of gameplay from the new Isle of Man TT game.

In this gameplay video, the first part of the Snaefell Mountain Course on the Isle of Man can be witnessed ridden on a high-end superbike. The YouTube description mentions that "the slightest mistake can be fatal" on the Isle of Man.

While that is true, the safety of digital content protects our fragile human bodies. Therefore, you will be able to be safe while riding through the mountains.

While previous entries into the TT Isle of Man gaming franchise were developed by KT Racing, who also developed the WRC games until Generations, this new game is being developed by RaceWard Studio. You might know that developer from RiMS Racing, the previous of its titles, released in August 2021.

We'll have to see whether this change in the development team affects the "Very Positive" reviews the previous titles have garnered on Steam. Let's assume the best-case scenario, however, and hope to see those rating change to "Overwhelmingly Positive".

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 will be available May 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Are you looking forward to this title? Let us know in the comments down below!

Now is the time to start developing more motorcycle sim products. I want a bike rig next to my car rig for VR riding!!!

Looks like you get to mount a real motorcycle to it.

I can see that the brake and throttle controls work. What I can't figure out is if he is actually steering.

Look at LeanGP. I am not sure if it is out for purchase yet, but is saying it will be around $1200. moto trainer looks like it starts around $7500 and you'll need a real bike too.

I tried both previous games before, and with both I remember feeling as if they imported car physics and tried to apply it to a motorcycle. TT-1 was the first time I have ever spun a motorcycle, it was incredible how that game defied the laws of physics. Will wait with bated breath for this one.

Ride 4 still satisfies all my motorcycle racing needs. EWC,SBK,TT,BSB,AMA,Superstock,Supersport...two strokes....it's all there. Not officially, but still there.
Gotta love Ride4s livery creator(even if BMW locked us out of it for their bikes).

The Sovereign State of the Isle of Man is the United Kingdom, King Charles III is the Head of state. But as a self governing entity it really should pay due diligence and ensure competent devs make a worthy game. Two failures, do they really want a third?
Even though its a Crown Dependency, it is not part of the United Kingdom. Having Charlie as King, does make it similar to the Commonwealth Realms, such as Canada, Australia, Jamaica, and Belize, none of which are part of the UK either.

But this is way off topic, so I will add ...
Having bought versions 1 and 2, albeit on sale, and having played for less than an hour in them combined, I will give 3 a miss. Thinking I'd like to play a game, isn't the same as actually playing it.

Totally agree, I bought 1&2 and had my imagination fired up both times. I actually managed 17 hours! But you simply cannot ignore poor physics.
I also tried Rims racing (refunded) that also has rubbish physics.

There just isn't any information released that suggests any change. So I'm not buying it.

This looked great but I think the project is dead in the water... lots of people asking for a refund. Wish it worked.

Handle bar controllers can't simulate a motorcycle, might as well just use a game pad.

You lean a bike and then counter-steer against the lean to go around a corner. A set of bars isn't even half the equation.
