TT Isle of Man - Ride on The Edge 3 Reveals First Gameplay

One of the best-ever motorcycle racing games is coming back soon! Check out this first bit of gameplay from the new Isle of Man TT game.

In this gameplay video, the first part of the Snaefell Mountain Course on the Isle of Man can be witnessed ridden on a high-end superbike. The YouTube description mentions that "the slightest mistake can be fatal" on the Isle of Man.

While that is true, the safety of digital content protects our fragile human bodies. Therefore, you will be able to be safe while riding through the mountains.

While previous entries into the TT Isle of Man gaming franchise were developed by KT Racing, who also developed the WRC games until Generations, this new game is being developed by RaceWard Studio. You might know that developer from RiMS Racing, the previous of its titles, released in August 2021.

We'll have to see whether this change in the development team affects the "Very Positive" reviews the previous titles have garnered on Steam. Let's assume the best-case scenario, however, and hope to see those rating change to "Overwhelmingly Positive".

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 will be available May 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.

Are you looking forward to this title? Let us know in the comments down below!

You have no idea how FAST and fearless proGP riders are. Sure, TT riders are fast too, and brave, but pro riders are on a different level. If you think otherwise then maybe you're the one who's the troll son.

Have some respect. In both disiplines these guys commit their entire lives to a sport. You can't just jump in at the top level of another sport with a similar skillset without serious commitment and dedication.

Please tag me here when a moto gp guy leaves his contract and competes at the tt. Would be cool to see how they do on a production bike around a 60km 'track'.

Valentino Rossi -
I did a lap of the Isle of Man, and I understand why people love this because it’s f**king awesome – it’s unbelievable, great. But, unfortunately, it’s too dangerous. Sometimes, riders are crazy.'

'The Isle of Man is very difficult. If you make a mistake, maybe it’s the last mistake.'

I believe it's caused by the way the chase cam works. Watch this and tell me it doesn't look exactly the same as this and Milestone's games.

GPBikes doesn't look like this because the camera is completely different. It's fixed on the rider instead of the bike.
It doesn't look exactly the same as this and Milestone's games. There you go.
I am going to believe you made an honest mistake. The video you provided clearly shows the camera moving with the rider. As the rider moves to lean the camera moves with him. So yes, it will produce the effect. The game video doesn't follow the rider, it's fixed behind the bike so it shouldn't produce the effect.

Do you see now?

"TT riders are fearless too"? :roflmao: TT riders run at the same speeds than their MotoGP counterparts for much longer at a time and on PUBLIC roads, with real kerbs, poles, trees and brick walls. Runoff areas and gravel traps not included. In TT, a large majority of the riders who fell from their bikes over the years fell for the last time. You don't see many helmets inches from a brick wall at 300 km/h in MotoGP, do you?

The day you'll see a rider from MotoGP drop his discipline to ride in the TT, let us all know.

In the meantime, do grow up.

yeah but TT isle of man 3 is far more beauty, the rF2 track feels boring and repetitive
When you consider it's base model is from GPL which was originally released well over twenty years ago, the improvements are tremendous. But I was just adding to the previous user's comment about the track being available right now without further cost if you already own rF2. Recently I've been driving the latest version of Dundrod with Autin Mini Coopers and will probably soon focus on IoM. Add Targa Floria and there are more corners than I will ever be able to remember.

I'll wait for reviews and opinions. I liked the first albeit the physics were a mare, 2nd sounded good, but not enough of an improvement for me to spend more dosh on what I more or less had anyway. 3rd will have to be a major improvement physics wise.

LOL Can you make a comment without mentioning the 4090. Try riding it in real life, that's my best experience. Beats a 4090 on a 48 inch screen.
I want to live for a very long time, and I want to ride very fast, so I prefer gaming than dying.

so you choosing games strictly if their graphic engine can deliver ray tracing or not ?
I suppose we are in January 2023, not January 2010.
We don't have to choose between physics and graphics, nowadays, because CPUs and GPUs are extremely powerful and absolutely capable to do great things in both areas, no matter the engine used.

I watched a gameplay trailer, not a review. I can only judge graphics, not physics. So, I just wrote about what I see. And being frank, the graphics didn't impress me at all.

I want to add that a bike game can't really be a sim, without the proper peripheral to play it.
So, playing it as "simcade", I would love to play it watching photorealistic graphics, in 2023.

I remember in the past, people ranting about racing sims and changelogs, because the graphics were improving... as if developers concentrated their efforts in one direction at a time: today graphics, maybe next month physics. LOL

Its not England. Its not even Britain. Nor is it part of the United Kingdom. Though it is in the British Isles.
:) Draw an egg shape oval around the Islands, Britain, Ireland et al, to many Americans all that is just England. Sorry I'm not very considerate, I 'could' have looked that up! ;)

Not impressed with the graphics. Look at the bike model. It's VERY basic. When you consider the detail some car interiors get these days it's not great.

Since I'm not a game controller player and my sim rig is not even remotely close to accomodating a motorcycle, my interest is about nil.

I have watched video the TT event and those guys are insane!
Playing with a gyroscope controller can be quite nice. I don't have a native one but I attach a cellphone to my dualshock with a clip and use a program to get the gyro data into a virtual xbox controller.

The Sovereign State of the Isle of Man is the United Kingdom, King Charles III is the Head of state. But as a self governing entity it really should pay due diligence and ensure competent devs make a worthy game. Two failures, do they really want a third?
