With the 2024 Sim Formula Europe, an alternative sim racing exhibition is just around the corner. Here’s what to expect at the event from January 11 to 14 – and how to qualify for its on-site competition final!

European sim racers are spoilt for choice. Anyone who missed the SimRacing Expo in Dortmund will have another chance to try the latest sim racing gear from January 11 to 14. And meet us as well – OverTake is the official media partner of the event.
Sim Formula Europe takes place in the MECC Forum Passage and offers 3.000 square meters of exhibiton space. Hardware manufactuers, industry insiders, competition – this awaits in Maastricht, all without an entry fee! At the same time, one of the biggest classic car shows in InterClassics is taking place at over 35.000 square meters right next door. An exciting combo for fans of real and virtual racing!
Note that InterClassics does require visitors to purchase tickets.
Of course, you can get involved in the Sim Formula Europe 2024 Championship yourself. The fifth running of the competition takes place in rFactor 2 using the Porsche GT3 Cup 992 car. Starting on November 25, 10 am CET, the hotlap qualifier takes sim racers to virtual Zandvoort. The Top 60 move on to the December 14 Quarter Final, which in turn will provide the 30 competitors for the Semi Final. There, the Top 7 plus the reigning champion Damian Skowron advance to the on-site Super Final on January 13, 2024.

You can find all info, rules and rF2 content you need in order to compete on the SFE 2024 website. Note that all finalists are required to compete on site in Maastricht – though that is not exactly the worst requirement in the world. - Thursday, January 11, 12 pm – 8 pm CET: (P)Review day – first look at the products at SFE 2024
- Friday, January 12, 1 pm – 9 pm CET: Day of Insights – Including panel discussion and four speakers, including Marcel Offermans (The Last Garage) and Simucube at the esports seminar with limited seats from 10 am to 1.30 pm CET
- Saturday, January 13, 9 am – 6 pm: Champions Day – Super-Final of the Top 8 Sim Racers of the SFE 2024 Championship
- Sunday, January 14, 9 am – 6 pm: Super-Sunday – On-site hotlap competition for all visitors, plus driving tips by Baseline
